Light products that can give volume?

Would it be possible that products with less ingredients would be better for fine hair? Just wondering because I like CK and it only has a few ingredients, so I'm curious if my hair just gets overwhelmed easily with too many ingredients
Medium texture, normal porosity, normal elasticity
@Morgan: thanks for sharing, my hair is low porous too. So I always make sure my hair absorbs product before handling it further.

I'd try the SM Mousse if it's available in your area. It's very light.
I have VERY fine low porosity hair myself...EVERYthing weighs it down...But I can say I have my HG products....Aubrey GPB conditioner and BB styling mudd...That is it!!!!...I LOVE the okra gel...its just AMAZING for fine hair...the FSG just left a very coated feeling on my hair...even after I washed...And made my hair clump like medusa...not pretty...But the okra makes my hair bouncier, shiner, and less tangles...not sure about the frizz control...but id rather have volume with some frizz then helmet head...ugh...Im looking at trying to make my own okra gel...since I CANT be without it...

However I know tons of curlies that still use silicone on their hair, so I think its a matter of preference. If I use products with ANY type of silicone (even water soluble ones) my hair feels coated and is very stringy.

Too bad Curl Keeper is Canadian.
Hey! Canadians have to have some good hair products . I'm intrigued by Curly Hair Solutions RevUP! product which gives volume. I'm going to the salon in a few weeks to get a cut so I'll probably pick up the RevUp! to try with my CK...

RevUP!

If you have dry hair and need lots of moisture it may not be for you but if your hair is like mine in that I get over moisturized very very easily, I can see this working with just CK, or even with a very light LI of some kind.

Then I plop for 5 min in a tshirt. Then I spray the revup all over my head. I've read that you dont need much but I went wild with it using about 10-15 sprays over my entire head. Then I add 3 puddles of CK and scrunch upside down really really well.

then I diffuse dry most of the way(bone chilling winter- not going out with wet hair). I get BIG hair this way. The LI prevents drying out and I can get 5 days of pretty decent hair this way. I spray a little water in the mornings after letting down my nighttime pineapple and it revives all teh products.

Without the REVUP, I would have to re-wash on the 3rd day for sure, because my hair deflates really bad even on day one. Day 2 is usually up in a clip but with Revup spray my hair stays volumized almost a full week.

I don't recommend REvup sprayed onto dry hair, it made a tangled dry mess but sprayed on wet hair and roots, it gave me great volume for a long long time.

I'm going to see how I do leaving out the Miss Jessies Pillow Soft curls lotion, will use LI, gel, spray and CK- will report back once I do this combo.

You could try a gelmousse, it has the hold of a gel and the airyness of a mousse. I use that when dews are +40F. (Below that dp I find any kind of mousse drying on my hair.)

It seems I like a gelmousse that is waterbased, has a nice copolymer (p.e. vp/va copolymer) in it, a humectant like glycerine or sorbitol, some protein and sometimes a peg-cone.

Sometimes I mix a gel with a mousse in my hands and use that for more volume and flexible hold.
