After heat styling...
What do you do after heat styling to "repair"?
Today I have to get a passport photo taken, and didn't have good 2nd day hair, and had no time to wash and re-do.
I haven't heat styled my hair in about 2 years (other than my bangs), except maybe one little curl here or there on rare occasions.
Today, however, there were several spots that needed it.
I simply was not going to have a passport photo that I'll have for the next 15yrs or whatever and have it be the immortalization of a bad hair day. Lol!! And I figured once in a great while isn't so bad. It's not like I flat ironed my entire head, and plenty of people do that once in a while with no problem!
So what - A PT/DT? Anything else? (Of course no more heat styling again for quite a while - lol!)

Once in a while ain't so bad. It's your hair and you're obviously so good to it. I seriously doubt you've damaged it. Yeah, I think a PT/DT would be best. That's what I'd do.
P.S. Take heart. My passport photo looks like Michael Jackson circa 1996 because the flash just swallowed me.

LOL!!!! That's hilarious!
Yeah, my license picture is when I was 5 or 6 months pregnant with twins, and I'm stuck with that for a couple more years! Plus they had these new rules - hair has to be behind your ears, no bangs, etc. I didn't know all of that, and would have styled my hair accordingly if I did!
(Stupid, bc none of us look anything like ourselves on our licenses now - no glasses, hair pinned in odd ways... So dumb. It's for the facial ID software. Whatever.)
But thank! I think that's what I'll do - a PT/DT today or tomorrow!

Hair behind the ears? No bangs? Say what? Well, you think having bad hair and being preggo is bad, let us not even speak of my driver's license photo. It was bad even before they sent me the updated one with the new California design. Suffice to say I looked like an angry junkie before and now I look like an oompa-loompa colored angry junkie. I don't know why they decided to add a lovely orange "sheen" to the picture. Perhaps they caught word of my passport photo and wanted to balance things out?

Omg, I had to get a new license when I was 40 weeks pregnant with my last baby. It was that point where if I didn't do it, I'd have to retake a driving exam with a driver from the DMV....it was horrible. I was certain it was the worst picture I'd ever take...
Until we moved to Missouri and they said no smiling, no hair, no teeth, etc. I look like I'm about to shank someone.

Here we're allowed to smile and as far as I know there are no restrictions on hair or earrings or clothing or anything. . . Funny story: The driver's license photo I had before this past (horrible) one that they took really quickly before I could smile was of me in a strapless dress. It looked like I was naked in that picture because it was bare shoulders and up, but at least my hair looked good and I didn't look like I wanted to shank anybody. But I think everybody feels like shanking someone after a day at the DMV.

You girls kill me I live in MO and I'm smiling in mine but it's also several years old. It expires next year so I'll get to re-take it. It's not a good one. My hair is before I knew what to do with it, messy and up and I had no makeup on. Not that it matters in a mug shot like that anyways. Guess I'll see what they make me do next time! The DMV here is awful. It must be in the job description to be as rude and horrible as possible.
Anyways, back on topic. Whenever I heat style (and I still straighten every once in a while) I always follow with a PT and oddly enough, those are some of my best hair days. I could probably stand to PT more often than I do but I get lazy and forget. I diffuse almost daily in the winter but on low heat and I honestly do not notice any heat damage.

OMG. Well, all of that and we weren't even able to get our passports!!!! Ugh. Let's hope for a good hair day Wednesday! Haha
I will hope to get a PT/DT in before then!
And LOL over these stories!!
Yes! No hair in your face, no bangs, hair behind your ears, no glasses, and no smiles, either! Well, no showing your teeth - you can smile a little.
Crazy, isn't it? As if we don't already look bad enough in those pictures! Lol!!

No. They stopped doing passports at 4pm, a fact that was not on their website, and we got there at 4:15.
(I TOLD my husband to call ahead. Grr.)
So I think we are trying again tomorrow - depending on how bad this snowpocalypse is tonight.

Well, we are at 3-4" in about 3hrs, and it's supposed to go all night. They are saying up to 7", so not that bad. But it is supposed to be windy, so we may at least get a delay out of it!
