How to enhance curls?

Hi!
My hair is very frustrating. It is down to the middle of my chest and it looks GREAT when I get out of the shower and dry it with a diffuser, but the next day... not so much. I would say it is a combination of 3a (in the back/under layers) and 2b (the top layers and front part). There are certain parts in the very front that just will. not. curl.

My hair is pretty coarse and dry, and I try to avoid heat styling, but I live in Vermont and my hair takes forever (4-5 hours) to dry so blow drying makes my life easier and warmer, and it makes my hair look great! Curly and voluminous.

I have gone on and off with the CG method, but the devaCurl products are just sooo expensive. I just did a PT tonight so we'll see if that enhances the curls... Also my ends are very split even though I got a trim 6 weeks ago.

Are there any ways to naturally enhance my waves/curls? Are the straight pieces of my hair ever going to curl? Should I just get a perm?

Thank you for all your help! You guys rock!
Someone help me make my hair look like Merida from Brave that's all I want.
DO NOT GET A PERM! Its all about loving your hair for itself. I honestly believe that you just have to let your hair do its thing and do your best to give it what it needs. I was having the same issue as you as my hair has been getting longer. I hear you when it comes to Deva products being extremely expensive. I would honestly reccomend a fresh start. Go and get yourself an awesome hair cut because it can make a huge difference. Maybe some layers to add volume? Also try plopping your hair over night and see if that helps. I would highly reccomend the clipping method to add some volume to your roots/crown area. Your hair is beautiful and I am not just saying that. People would die to have your hair- its looks extremely beachy and I it. Try out some products and experiment with stuff, you don't have to break the bank for gorgeous hair believe me I'd know. I've experimented with a lot of expensive and drugstore products. Some of them work better than others and not all are going to be good just cause of the price. In my opinion Deva products are not all that special. Some people love them and a lot of people on here start with those products, but its definitely not mandatory. Can you tell me some more about your hair, so I can maybe make some more suggestions? What are you currently using and how do you style your hair etc?
Good luck and don't give up!
Every little wave has the potential to be a curl

Sometimes I get carried away and manipulate him too much. He tells me he's fine on his own but I never listen. I wash him less now and all in all we're happy.

Thank you for giving me hope!

I currently use Bed Head Dumb Blonde Shampoo, Conditioner, and Leave in Conditioner. I also use Got2B Kinkier Mousse and Spray Gel.

I usually leave in a little bit of the leave in conditioner, just because my hair is super dry. I scrunch with a towel just when it's soaking wet and then I use paper towels and I put duckbill clips at my roots. When I blow dry it I use a diffuser and flip my head upside down then put a bunch of hair in the diffuser bowl thing and kind of scrunch it.

Thank you for helping me! I just really want my hair to be curly and big. I wish there was a magic product that made my hair look like Beyonce's.

Me. I would love that hair. I would get those layers and that ombre thing done...but yeah, try plopping. And I don't know if you're totally CG or not, but that new Pantene curl cream thing has done really good things for me, even though it has a silicone...which you can wash promptly out without much fuss, too. But yeah, I kind of like what you have going on there at the moment as it is...
No probs and just do you. Honestly I get sad wishing my hair was a 3b sometimes haha or I'll think about what would happen if my hair just lost its curl one day. My sister has beautful chestnut/red hair naturally and its so glossy and straight but she fries it for school everyday (the jr. high phase). I'm the only curly in my family and well I'm either made fun of or complimented but then again some people are just going to say things cause their insecure. Well anyways my speech comes down to: people will always want what they can't have and if you had beyonce's hair maybe you'd want wavy hair like you have right now. I'm just saying we always find something we want to improve etc. But hey your hair has lots of texture compared to other peoples. I think what you need is more lift and fluff lol.
Beach Hair
So as far as I know your using the leave in cause you need moisture- but maybe that's whats weighing your hair down- but you still need moisture. Well there is this product I have called Oasis moisture gel(Hair Moisturizer | Curl Activator | Oasis). Basically its a gel that is really really soft. Its like serum/gel like in one and its all natural too. Maybe you could try that? OMG and Sweet Poof volumizing spray (Beach Hair Products | Sweet Poof). Okay um let's see are you into the BEACH HAIR LOOK?

Well if yes I have just the stuff for you!! Why did I not think of this before!!? I'm not trying to totally sell you out on these products but maybe the fact that they give out sample would help? Honestly I bought a BUNCH of samples and bought full size versions of what I needed at the moment. You could just click on shop, by solution, and go to volumizing etc. to see a list of products that might fit your needs. I see this website as maybe being really helpful for you and the customer service is AWESOME. You should definitely check it out.
Basically your hair type needs light conditioning and major plumping/lifting. That can be quite tricky and most of their styling products are CG. I would probably not reccomend CG for you because co washing can weigh down your hair and make it flatter, so maybe you could co wash and use an occasional low poo ( a lot of us just wash with a mild sulfate free shampoo once in awhile). Almost all the styling products on the OM website are CG aside from a few and the conditioners etc. do unfortunately contain silicones, but that should not be an issue for you.
Hope I helped and sorry for the late reply!

Have you tried rewetting/dampening in the morning, applying a pinch more product by smoothing over, finger combing (very gently) any hairs that have gotten tangled and are overlapping each other) and then scrunching up? That always works for me. I wake up with waves most of the time because I don't use a sleep cap or pineapple but I'm able to reactive my curls in less than five minutes.
