Default Getting my 1st Deva cut today and One C / light defining gel experience!

So excited and nervous! I am however also going to Ulta after to return my One C and Light defining gel. Just did not see any change in my hair to warrant the price. I also don't like that if I don't put in the gel when my hair is very wet, my hair feels extremely producty.

Yay first deva cut! I'm excited for you!!

I just had mine last weekend and it was a fun experience. I loved my stylist and I'm loving my cut. I was in there for two full hours, which felt like a long time, but it was nice to have someone really pay attention to my hair!

Just a heads up, make sure your stylist knows you're using silicone/sulfate free products already. Mine asked me if I was using the Deva products, and I said no because I didn't think they worked well in my hair. He interpreted this as me not using CG products, and ended up cleansing my hair with a sulfate poo to clarify my hair. I was a little miffed, but it was my fault for not making it clear that I would have been fine with just the low or no poo.

I loved my deva cut! I've had 2 so far and have been very happy with the experience. I'm not a fan of the gel either, it's too light for my hair, and I need to use an awful lot of it to get hold and I that price tag I can't afford it!
