If you were trapped on a deserted island...

... And could only have ONE cleanser, ONE conditioner and ONE styler (nightmare, I know), what would they be?

I'll start:

Cleanser: SM Moisture Retention 'poo
Conditioner: VO5 Shea Cashmere
Styler: KCCC

Nevermind that no one will be around to appreciate your gorgeousness. What would your hair need to keep its will to live going? ;)

pinkwolf 03-17-2013 03:33 PM

OOoooh I love these kind of threads :)

Cleanser: Kinky Curly Come Clean
Conditioner: KCKT
Styler: KCCC

Hootenanny, we share the same love for KCCC!!:love7:

Houseofcurls 03-17-2013 04:15 PM

lets see, desserted island... I'm thinking high humidity, salty waters. I'm going SM retention shampoo, the Generic conditioner balm stuff from sally's and flax seed gel.

SpiralSpunk 03-17-2013 04:27 PM

Cleanser: Undecided, but maybe a shampoo from Shea Moisture

Conditioner: Dessert Essence Coconut

Styler: Eco Styler Gel

Shampoo in case the gel builds up, the conditioner is multi purpose, and the gel is heavy duty so I know it'll work lol

Yes!! I actually think I may have a serious KCCC addiction. ;) I can never truly evaluate new products because, whenever I try something new, I always end up thinking, "this would work so much better if I added some KCCC!" So I add it on, and then I don't know if the product is any good by itself! Lol!!

Ditto, hair twin!!! Though I'm torn between FSG and LALSG for that... I'm afraid the salt air would need me taming than FSG could give... But then I love FSG....

anonymous_133347 03-17-2013 10:32 PM

SM Yucca Baobab Shampoo, Trader Joe's Tea Tree Tingle Conditioner, and KCCC but only because FSG would have to be refrigerated!

Wait, is there a fridge on the island? And if I can ask for a fridge, can I ask for a bevy of meerkats as well?

Rustina 03-18-2013 07:36 AM

Does it have to be one cleanser, one condish, and one styler? Can I just take three products? Because my hair ADORES Spiral Solutions CEJ and FHG as stylers in the summer humidity, so I would take those, plus CJAO to do double duty as a co wash and LI.

If I were on a deserted island in the arctic, though, it would be a whole 'nother story - CJ shampoo, CJAO, and KCCC. Can't live without my KCCC in winter!

curry curls 03-18-2013 08:11 AM

Cleanser: Trader Joe's tea tree tingle conditioner

Conditioner: Sally Beauty's GVP balm

Styler: Kenra moisturizing conditioner

I realize they are all conditioners, but If I'm limited to one conditioner, I'd take the Kenra I believe. :-) I think I could use it for cleansing, conditioning, and styling.

Ericachristina 03-18-2013 09:33 AM

Cleanser: loreal Evercreme intense nourishing shampoo
Conditioner: the huge bottle of Giovanni deep moisture conditioner
Styler: kinky curly knot today

Dsotomayor 03-18-2013 09:57 AM

Cleanser: deva curl lowpoo
Conditioner: kckt
Styler: fsg

And a tweezer or I'll eventually need to use these products on my eyebrows too! Lol

Jessiebanana 03-18-2013 09:59 AM

This one is easy for me. I only have one of each :p.

My signature + Kiss My Face Upper Management

Trick 03-18-2013 11:16 AM

Poo: l'Oreal Eversleek...or Suave Daily Clarifying (my hair is fine and appreciates an occasional "reset" with some sulfates)

Conditioner: Tresemme Naturals

Styler: I'm torn between KCCC and LALSG, but since it's likely to be humid I'll say the LALSG because I mainly need the KCCC in the winter (= low dews) and I'm probably in the tropics somewhere on this island

I don't even use that many products so I didn't think this would be as hard as it was! I guess I like to have my options...lol

Hootenanny 03-18-2013 05:51 PM

For all you Flax Gel lovers, YES there is a fridge on the island! Hooray! :) :) :)

jsuzkelley 03-18-2013 06:39 PM

^^ Lol! That made me smile :)

This is hard! I like to change things up so it's difficult to choose just three. But if I was FORCED to, here's my list (as of today):

CJ daily fix
DB pumpkin seed condish
KCCC

I hear you about the tweezers!!! :laughing1:

Hmm. This is more difficult than I thought.

Cleanser: DevaCare low Poo
Conditioner: Darcy's pumpkin conditioner (RO and LI)
Styler: UFDCM

WARNING: subject to change at any given time :D

B-Nessa11 04-06-2013 10:08 PM

Hydratherma naturals shampoo, probably the one without sulfates

Olive oil or coconut oil. Cuz I can do without condish.

Hydratherma natutals moisturizer

Her products r expensive for me so I havent used em n a while but my hair felt so good with her line!

How can I say goodbye P.L.G.

creativelicense 04-07-2013 12:32 AM

Cleanser: Giovanni TTTT condish
Conditioner: Tresemme Naturals (the volumizing one)
Styler: HE Totally Twisted gel <---forgot how much I love that gel until I wrote that.

BlackAngelPlayah 04-07-2013 03:38 AM

I'd just use my Long Aid. It's a styler and moisturizer. I'd survive.

Cleansing. Conditioning. I'm not strict on brands. Well my L'Oreal EverCream shampoo is a staple. So that.

Conditioners? Anything moisturizing and silicone free will do. :)

Reality... I'll likely do NOTHING to my hair and I'll have 1 big DREAD when in rescued!! :p

I love my okra gel, but I think I will leave it behind in favor of a cheap drugstore gel!

Cleanser: SMMR
Conditioner: Vo5 kiwi lime squeeze
Styler: AIF
