Im thinking about a "big chop".

Yea, I am . I realize I dont have Rapunzel locks, but I have been looking at pics of myself from a few years ago, and I feel my hair looked better then (shorter); and better for my face, which certainly has not gotten any thinner. The thing is, as my hair has gotten longer, it seems the curl has gotten tighter, more "3B-ish", and I dont think it is flattering for me. I have pic of my self from a few years ago where my hair hits my collarbone all around, with shorter layers around my face, and I have big, loopy curls. I wish I knew what products I used that day, but I sure was not CG, and I know I blew it dry with a diffuser or hot sock, and did not clip or let it dry naturally. I dont know if anyone has any thoughts, but they sure would be welcome.

I know your avatar pic is small but from what I see I think you'd look good with very short hair. How short do you want to go? Pixie? Because the avi pic looks like it's around the collbarbone. If you want 3A curls instead of 3B, however, you might be able to get them with less hold and less scrunching. I can wear my hair just plain 2C if I don't scrunch and rake my products in. Also I can get it to look 2B for some reason if I use extra KCCC and smooth it down after raking it in. Weird experiment I tried one day. Haven't tried to replicate it yet though.

make sure if you cut it, you can still pull it back. I cut mine all the way off cos it was too much to deal with. I cut it to my ears and i cant pull it back. very annoying. and when i change clothes or the wind blows my hair is ruined for the day..

Hi Dusa: My hair is actually quite long in back. That is part of the problem. My previous stylist cut it wet, and the top and sides were very short, for "volume"; and my hair is still recovering. but it is midway down my back. I think maybe it needs to be evened out. If I knew how to post a pic here, I would post the one I am talking about. Its in My Pictures on my computer in windows 7 OS. YOur comments are interesting; I used to not scrunch at all, or very little and used less products. I am calling my stylist today and see if I can get in this week for a consult and color and maybe the big chop. I would never cut it really short, hambo. Never. Maybe just even if off more.H
