Default Products not working the same after haircut?

Before my Deva cut here was my routine:

Co-wash with VO5 Vanilla Mint Tea condish
RO: GVP CB
LI: GVP CB
Styler: DevaCurl Volumizing mouse or FSG then HESMU

But when I follow that routine now, my hair just does not look as good as it used to. So, I began experimenting and started using my Yes to Carrots and my hair LOVEs it! I've gotten the best and repeatable results with:

Co-wash: VO5 Vanilla Mint Tea condish
RO/LI YTC
Styler: Devacurl Volumizing mouse or FSG then EcoStyler Argan Oil gel.

What gives? Why the changes? Could length of hair have that much difference?

You're scaring me Jules. My hair was hard enough to figure out the first go around. Now I'm afraid to cut it.

Which YTC are you using? The pampering condish?

I know the pampering conditioner has some curl enhancing, albeit slightly drying, salts in it. Maybe the GVP CB is a little too much moisture on your shorter hair, and the YTC is evening you out?

ALSO please confirm this for me: YTC pampering conditioner smells like plastic baby dolls. (I probably sound crazy... but that's what it makes me think of every time I smell it!!)

I don't know why the length would make a diff though if the properties are the same. Hmmmm. I don't know about the smell, it is not unpleasant though.

I used my TNNM this morning and got good results ( with FSG and Ecostyler argan oil gel)

My hair's acting weird after a cut, too. It's annoying.

I think with most curly hair post cut there is an adjustment period. You never quite know how it's going to react.

You're scaring me too! I have my very first dry cut scheduled for Friday. I don't have a solid routine as it is.

That might make it easier, sc. You can keep trying different methods and products afterward.
