Oil recommendations!

I've been in love with coconut oil for a while now but haven't branched out much simply because oils are a bit pricy. Recently though I just discovered one of the most amazing websites http://www.bulkapothecary.com/raw-in...ils/argan-oil/ where you can buy all minds of essential oils for good prices!!!
So, before I go slaphappy and start ordering everything I was just wondering what oils you guys have found that you like to use? I'm mostly looking for deep conditioning as well as sealing.

My hair properties are fine with normal porosity and my curl pattern is 3b. Soooo excited!!

grape seed oil is great, aprecot oil, argan oil is good as well. all of these you can use to seal and to add to a DT. you have to try different oils your self, cause every one reacts differently to different oils. try light oils first.

I suggest going to the grocery store and trying oils there first like evoo, coconut oil, safflower oil, grape seed oil...see if these work for you first then venture out into the more expensive oils. :-)

Thanks for the tips ladies! Anyone else have recommendations?

I've been wanting to try olive oil for a while (I use it in most of my cooking) and since its easy to come by I think I'll pick up some at Walmart tomorrow!

I wonder about sunflower oil though...I'm allergic to sunflower seeds so I wonder if I would have a reaction to the oil? Suppose I could do a spot test on my skin to check.

I have fine hair too (with a mix of porosities), and I absolutely love avocado oil because my hair/skin absorbs it more readily than it does olive oil (and I like cooking with it more too!). I picked up a bottle at the grocery store, but it looks like it's also sold on the site you linked.

Another oil I've had good luck using is tamanu oil - I use this on my face/scalp when it it was super dried out, though I haven't tried this on the hair itself yet. Unfortunately, this one isn't on the site you linked :(

If you have a Whole Foods nearby, you may want to go and test the Aura Cacia carrier oils they have on display. They have tamanu, aragan, baobab, macadamia, and rosehip oils, which I think all fit what you were looking for. Most stores have testers out for all of these :)

As for the sunflower oil: it's made by pressing sunflower seeds, so I wouldn't risk it!

I was just getting ready to say that I fine grape seed oil and argon oil works wonders and very lite.

I also have fine, normal porosity hair! My favorite oils are coconut, argan, jamaican black castor, grapeseed. My hair absolutely loves all of these.
