Default Most Moisturizing Conditioner with the Most Slip

I think I may have to get a new rinse out conditioner. I love my Tea Tree Tingle as a Cowash as it's good to my scalp and it does have fantastic slip but I'm not sure if it's quite moisturizing enough now that my hair keeps getting dry. It seems that every time it absorbs a lot of sun it gets dryer. (It soaked up a lot of sun today.) So I have been mixing my TTT with my Shea Moisture Restorative Conditioner which has no slip but is moisturizing but, let's face it, my hair need a lot of conditioner and I'd prefer to save what remains of the SM RC for maybe deep treatments. Stupid Shea Moisture only sells conditioners in teeny tiny bottles. Grrr. Oh dear I'm rambling again.

Point blank: Which rinse out conditioner have you found has the most moisture and the most slip. You can go ahead and name drugstore to high end salon brands. I'm open to researching anything. It's going to be a long, hot, super dry summer.

Oh, also please list your properties if they're not already in your siggy.

Thanks!

GVP, Dusa or Giovanni Smooth as Silk. I cannot use Smooth as Silk every day though, but I wash daily and I dont think you do. GVP works for a lot of people here. Its a really good product. and cheap!

I am currently back using Elucence Moisture Balancing Conditioner. I find it has great slip, better than KCKT that I had previously been using, is pretty affordable, and comes in a large bottle with a pump!
I am 3 b/c with highly porous, fine curls that knot very easily.

Sad to say my most slip came from Aussie Moist. But it caused so much shedding I had to let it go.

Pantene relaxed and natural was great too... But I hate how they market our line as separate from the Pantene "family." It just irked me so bad!!! LoL. Plus the ingredients weren't good either.

Now I use Tresemme Naturals and its pretty good. Still I need something better. But for now it will do.

Aussie was next on my list to try. I wonder what's in it that causes shedding?

The Avocado and Honey Rinse Shescentit conditioners have great slip for me.

GVPCB!

Heard great things about Giovani Smooth as Silk, but have yet to try it.

I also had really good luck mixing 50/50 of Tresemme nats and vo5 Shea cashmere.

I have been loving the Smooth as Silk conditioner. Definitely has good slip and is pretty moisturizing.

Just an fyi, my bottle does not have the same ingredients as those listed in the product reviews on this site. The ingredients in mine are:

Water, Cetyl Alcohol, Butylene Glycol, Cetrimonium Bromide, Phenoxythanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Natural Fragrance, Hydrolyzed Protein, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Leaf Extract (USDA Certified Organic), Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Valencia Organge) Extract (USDA Certified Organic), Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Fruit Extract, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus (Lemongrass) Extract (USDA Certified Organic), Echinacea Purpurea Extract (USDA Certified Organic), Ginkgo Biloba Extract (USDA Certified Organic), Glycine Soja (Soybean) Seed Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Extract (USDA Certified Organic), Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract (USDA Certified Organic), Macrocystis Pyrifera (Sea Kelp) Extract (USDA Certified Organic), Mangifera Indica (Mango) Extract (USDA Certified Organic), Salix Alba (Willow Bark) (USDA Certified Organic)

(from drugstore.com)
It has enough protein in it that my hair doesn't get overmoisturized.

I have been using Yes to Blueberries Healthy Hair conditioner lately and absolutely love how it feels in wet hair. So much slip!! I also find it very moisturizing. It has protein (lupine amino acids), but I really don't feel the effects of that at all. This conditioner actually overconditions me after a few days of use.

You ladies are wonderful. Okay first things first. . . I think I'm going to hit the drugstore or health food store and get some Giovanni Smooth as Silk. Thanks for uploading the updated ingredient list flippalicious so I can see exactly how much protein I'm gambling with. The rest of the ingredients look really good though. Also why can't you use it everyday Myrna? Fear of OC'ing?

Also I need to check out Yes to Blueberries as it's protein free and super cheap. I'm going to dig the Tresemme Naturals out of the closet which I did try out but I think need to give a second chance. If that doesn't do the trick I think I'll order some CJ Rehab (but isn't that a DT-you guys use it as a rinseout? ) and Darcy's Botanicals which sounds delicious.

Moptop is protein rich so I think I'll skip that one and Aussie Moist has a cone but I can't tell whether it's water soluble or not. "bis-aminopropyl dimethicone?" That's not PEG so I'm going to have to look it up. Elucence has a paraben but it's really really far down the ingredient list so I'm torn on that as it's only $8 on curlmart. GVPCB unfortunately is chalk full of parabens otherwise I definitely would've tried it by now. But keep the suggestions coming regardless of ingredients. I can look those up myself lickety split.

I wouldn't exactly say most moisturising or most slip for this one (I'm still looking for that ideal..) but Desert Essence coconut is worth a try if you are ok with coconut.

Hey,Dusa. I didnt know why I could not use it every day but I guess I do now. For one thing, it has protein, and if I didnt know that then, I know it now, and I know why it doesnt work well on my hair. Neither did Shea cashmere and I could not figure that out either, consequently, I have a full bottle that I will probably never use. So, it may have been the protein, or the overconditioning. GVP may do the same so I am coming to the conclusion that I need a lighter conditioner in between, or on alternative days, like cure care (which also has protein but is a lighter conditioner) or a Suave or a Yes to.But both the GVP and the Smooth as Silk are great, and you dont need a lot of the Smooth.

Aha, definitely worth a try then! It smells good too - I can get a bit bored of all the coconut smells but this one is kind of pina colada.

KCKT has incredible slip but isnt very moisturizing. I use it as a detangler/primer.
