Help me pick out the bad hair day culprit! :P
Ok, this is the second time that I have had a bad hair day in the last week. The first was friday and the second was today. The time in between was great (sunday), but each time one of the following had to be the culprit:
The new CJ coconut condish for fine hair
V05 Vanilla Mint Tea condish/ V05 Kiwi Lime (first time using V05 conditioners !)
CJ IP leave-in
I used LOOB, but I've been having good results with that, it's possible I just used too much yesterday.
Both times I've gotten producty, dull, just blah type curls.

ok so you didn't use no poo on these bad hair days? maybe the producty hair is the conditioners not getting it all out? Sometimes I get that , I have soft water so stuff doesn't always rinse out well. I have to redo with no poo and I can use the same stuff but get a good hair day.
Just a thought. I get some surface frizz from the vo5's sometimes, not sure why since it's not all the time but they rinse out clean.

Help me pick out the bad day culprit: P
I am having a similar problem. I hate my hair lately. I think the problem might be a combination of hard water and the cold weather. I have tried hard water shampoos: Malibu 2000 and Ion (Found in Sally Beauty. My hair still is flat. The gel my hairdresser recommended didn’t work, Texture Line and Leave In Conditioner Kerastase. The hard water shampoos didn't fix the flat problem.
I saw some curlies just mentioned that shampoos with ETDA work. I saw someone mention Asian Tea Therapy shampoo and Ouidad shampoo. I also want to try that Pravana Curl Enhancing Gel. It got rave reviews. I need products that say for curly or wavy hair. Products that don’t say that just don’t work.
Also chagrin valley has on their website how to make homemade vinegar rinses. Here is the link they make shampoo bars, soap, etc.

I hope this solves our droopy hair problem! To Happier Hair Days!

Sorry, I refuse to believe that you have ever had a bad hair day.

I'm going to say it's the VO5. The two you're using are the "clarifying" ones. Maybe try a more moisturizing VO5? Before the cold snap, Kiwi & Lime was god's gift for cowashing for me. Once the cold hit, dull, fluffy- just bleh. I think it has something to do with the humidity.

Ok, thanks guys! I'm going to try everything the same but without the VO5 tomorrow and see what happens! Wish me luck! Plus that would be 2 bottles I don't have to pack.
ab-star, I actually like wearing my hair in braids, if nothing but for the convenience factor.

Ms. Lush . . . having bad hair days?
Good luck! Let us know if removing the VO5 conditioners makes a difference. I'm also trying to figure out what my bad-hair-day culprit(s) is/are over the last 2 days . . .

Yep, I would bet that it is the VO5 conditioners. My hair looks and feels like crap when I use them.
Now they are for shaving only!!

Another vote for VO5. The Kiwi & Lime is way drying for me in the winter, and it's not even that cold here.

Pooey! More bad hair days than I wish I had! I don't know where you guys are getting this dream from. :P But I will be sure to update today after washing!
I'm feeling more confident it's the V05 after the last few posts, at least I'd hate for it to be the CJ coconut condish. Or then maybe that would be a good thing since it's more expensive than the V05.

Well, I've narrowed it down to either the V05 conditioners or the new CJ condish. I was going to just leave out the V05 last night when washing, and used No-Poo instead, but then I got to thinking that the new CJ condish is supposed to be a lightweight condish and maybe my hair needed more moisture right now, so I left that one out too. I still used my CJ cream styler/LOOB/SMU combo and did everything else the same. I got good results again! So next time I'll bring the new CJ coco condish back in and see what happens.
