Pixie cut for 3b hair?

Hello! For years, I have wanted to try out a pixie cut. A friend of mine suggested that I get one with little volume on the sides, and a little more up on top. I'm worried about the way my hair will behave, though. I have 3b hair (I think) that likes to frizz a lot, and as much as I would love a pixie, I am not sure that it's the right choice.

This is the typical state of my hair when I wake up in the morning:

It's a little flatter than usual, but the level of frizz is accurate.

I was wondering if chopping my hair short would be a good idea, and if so, if anyone had suggestions?

Thank you!

I'm a mix of 3s and I had a pixie cut a couple of years ago; I'm actually still growing it out right now. I really enjoyed the look, but I did wear it straight. I'd recommend that you get some photos of different pixie cuts to help you determine what you are looking for. Halle Berry had a gorgeous very short pixie that could work for 3b hair; you could try googling that.

The one thing I would caution you about is that very short cuts like pixies require quite frequent trims, otherwise they can start looking ragged and messy (in not a good way). Maintaining the style can be quite a financial investment, especially if you tend to use deva stylists.

Anyway, good luck! If you do get the cut, post some pics!! :happy3:

Thank you for the advice! I think I'm going to take the plunge and give it a shot. If I do it, I'll definitely post photos. (:
