I call it...Co-Poo

So I have a bit of a dilemma. Co-washing makes my hair look oily and weighed down, no matter what. Even if I've cleansed or low-poo'd I between. It just doesn't work for my hair. I also don't like the idea of low-pooing every single time I wash my hair because I'm afraid it may be just a tad too drying.

So I tried something new today. I used a dime-sized amount of my low-poo and a nickel-sized amount of my co-wash. Mixed them together, and massaged onto my scalp only. Rinsed it out well, conditioned the rest of my hair, styled as usual.

It worked! I got the oil-free look of low-poo along with the more moisturizer feeling of co-washing. I think this will be my new go-to method for washing my hair.

Glad it worked for you. Good method to try.

When ever I low-poo and detangle followed by a conditioner, I almost apply some conditioner to my scalp also and do a rough massage, that way my scalp is not stripped of oils and it is not overly oily.

But ur method sounds even better, I will give it a try
3a with some 2a-2c, Medium/Low Porosity
Co-wash:deva no-poo/Vo5 kiwi
Detangle:Suave
Leave-in:Shea Moisture/GVP conditioning Balm/AOHSR

Gel:LA sports
Plop: Old T-shirt for 15 minutes ,diffuse
Hey! I love this idea.....very simple too. Gonna give co-poo a try! Thanks for sharing.
jamfoW, Thank you for sharing!

This sounds like the perfect solution for me too! Low poos can be too drying and cowashing makes me oilier so your solution makes me wonder, "Why didn't I think of that?", lol!
I've heard of people adding oils to their low poos but I'm way too afraid to try that.
I'm glad you guys like it, let me know if it works for you! I don't like oils either. They tend to just sit on my hair and I feel like I can never really get it all rinsed out. Oh, the woes of low porosity!

I do this sometimes! It's pretty much like the pre-poo or CWC method, too.

I'll add co-wash and oil to a sulfate poo, too, if I need to clarify.

Glad you found what works for you!
