second day hair issues

I'm 15 and my family doesn't have the money to buy me nice, curl-friendly hair products and stuff...
I wash my hair daily (with cheap brands of shampoo and conditioner) and i want to be able to go a day or two without washing, but the cheapo products i use to keep my curls and frizz under control have to be washed out when i want to do something else with my hair afterwards!! what do i do?
Have you ever heard of flax seed gel? You can literally make it with flax seeds in ten minutes or so, try googling it. I can only seem to find milled flax seeds which don't seem to sieve properly! but lots of people on here swear by it as their hair gel. If you want to go cg you can find a cheap silicone free conditioner, lots of people on here mention suave naturals but I haven't tried it so can't comment. I'm in England and use superdrug naturals coconut conditioner as a co wash and leave in sometimes.

I am on a completely low-budget hair routine! I use all drugstore stuff. I have some that's like $10 a bottle, but t lasts forever. Most of what I have is cheap! Like $5 or less for a large bottle!

It's really more about your hair properties and the techniques you use than it is the expense of the products. Of course there are some FABULOUS products out there in the pricey range, but it doesn't mean you can't get good hair without them!!

Shea Moisture (available at target and Walgreens) is my $10 product. I LOVE their shampoo, and I use some of their styling products, too.

Do you have a Sally's near you?

I also use some Organix shampoo (sulfate free) - about $5 a bottle. And I co-wag with Suave naturals. Tresemme naturals is another good, in expensive condish that makes a good rinse out AND leave in.

My favorite drugstore styler that's VERY cheap is LA Looks gels, either Sport or Power Spikes.

Knowing your hair properties would help me make some more specific suggestions.

Two day hair is largely dependent on how well you protect your curls from disturbances like wind and friction. When I get home after being out all day, I usually put my hair up in a loose pineapple so that I can lay down and relax without worrying that my curls will get disturbed. I also sleep with my hair up in a pineapple on a satin or silk pillowcase to prevent frizz over night. I got my satin pillowcase at Bed Bath and Beyond for $5.

That said, products can have an effect too and after using many expensive products, I actually prefer drugstore products, which are really cheap.

It really depends on your hair's unique needs, but many favorite products mentioned on this forum are readily available at most any drugstore in the U.S. and not costly. This includes Suave's conditioners (usually $1), VO5 conditioners (again, $1), Tresemme Naturals (my current favorite and between $3-$6), and gels like Aussie Instant Freeze (I found it at Walmart for $6) and Herbal Essence Totally Twisted or Set Me up (around $5).
