I love love love the Deva towels. But I wish they were bigger and not white. I have some folks I know who could really benefit from these but I was hoping to find an equivalent that was bigger. However, I felt the Aquis MF towel at BB and B today and it is no where NEAR as soft as the Deva towel. So I am thinking their Diva Dry is going to be like that. IS there a super soft MF towel like the Deva that's bigger or only the ones that are kind of snaggy? Or, should I just try the other types or sew some towels out of t's as gifts (I find actual t-shirts kind of awkward to use and not all T's are equal for absorbency so I find Ts have their own troubles, but if I could find a decent weight 100 percent cotton, I could do that.) What are your experiences if you have bought products. Mostly I just wish Deva had a bigger towel!
I only have used t-shirts and the deva towel. I completely agree with you that I don't like that it's white and it is small! When I got my deva cut, the stylist used these gloves that were the same material as the towel. It looked as if they would really help absorb since it's gloves and you can squeeze out excess water with more accuracy.

I have the big aquis towel and the itty-bitty deva one. I don't use the deva one at all, I found that it caught on my cuticles and any rough skin, I think it has too many loops, it is also way too small of course. The aquis works fine for me, I don't scrunch, I more like scrunch-blot with it, starting at tips I scrunch all my hair up to my scalp and hold it there to squeeze out the water, like a brief plop. The size allows me to do this 3-4 times with a new, dry section of towel for each. I'm pretty sure I saw colored microfiber towels (big ones) on amazon or from aquis, they were pastel but still.

I'd like to try the curl ease towels but haven't gotten around to ordering. Anyone have input on those?

And then I was at CVS tonight and see they have Twisty Turbie microfiber TOWELs. I tried to feel in the package (I got a twistie turbie when they first came out and hated it. But I think it was terry cloth back then.) It's certainly nice and big and cheap. Like 6$.

I know the Deva's are small but I never thought they felt snaggy. They are good scrunching. You just can't plop.
I want to get my wavy mother a big MF towel so she can plop. She has very long hair. Which company makes the biggest and bestest MF towel in your guys' opinion?

i use the deva towel for my daugher, she is a toddler with not much hair and its fab for her. WAY too small for an adult IMO tho.

For me, the best mirofibre towel i ever bought, and i still use it, is actually a large microfibre towel from the car care section in kmart. Its huge coz its for shining a car hahaha. but its a proper microfiber towel and it sucks up excess water like a pro!! it cost me $8 on sale hahaha.

only downer is its bright yellow with a black silk border, so looks random in my bathroom, so might not be appropriate as a gift in that sense... but if you got heaps of hair and need a good towel, check out the auto section of whatever shop near you hahaha

Serious check out CVS. That towel was quite large. Definitely big enough for pretty long hair. I think they were even doing 6$ or 2 for 10$.
Thanks guys! Guess I'm gonna check out CVS and Pepboys. Actually the MF towel I use now is for cleaning cars and counters and whatnot. it just happens to work great in my hair. Super absorbent. Too bad it's so teeny. I think I'll get mom one of each of these suggestions so she'll have options.

I have an Aquis mf waffle weave body-sized towel - 29" x 55"! It's perfectly sized for my long, thick hair. It was about $36 and comes in a few colors.

There is a cheaper one of the same size from another brand called FINA as well for about $12, also available in a different few colors.

I have a micro fibre towel that doesn't have the 'small loops' kind of finish, it has a smooth chamois type feel. I got it a few years ago from Amazon, sold as a towel for travel/camping and it is large. I don't think I can remember the brand, but if I do I'll post.
UK based wavy

Mostly waves, but curls and straight bits too!
Fine to medium, high porosity, medium density, very low elasticity
Highlights damage (growing it out), seems to like protein and need lots of moisture.

Cleanse - CJDF, trying out low poos ; Co wash- Uk chemist brands, Urtekram Rose or Aloe, Hairveda Amala Cream Rinse; RO - varies, Tigi Moisture Maniac, Desert Essence Coconut ; Leave in - Keracare natural textures; Sealant - argan oil
Trying out new things, still looking.
I don't use the deva one at all, I found that it caught on my cuticles and any rough skin

I use flour sack towels and have never tried MF. I would think they'd catch too. Flour sack is cheap & maybe not quite as absorbent but I don't mind using 3 in one styling if I have too.

Honestly, the best towel I own for my hair is this white cotton burp rag/cloth diaper I got when my 8 yr old was a baby. I only have 1 left, it is smaller than flour sacks but twice as absorbent and not catchy at all. I love this thing & have looked for more just like it but today's cloth diapers aren't the same fabric and I can't find a pack of towels like this anywhere! It's my go to towel, I will scrunch out excess water w it & then plop with a dry flour sack towel & it ends up in every load of laundry.

Oh yeah. I bet diapers would work great!
Hey curlies,

Just realized the Amazon links I previously attached from my stupid "smart"phone weren't working properly. I edited my post and fixed the links (from my computer this time). Had to let y'all know since I know how hard it is for us long/thick headed curlies to find big enough MF towels.

Sorry about that!

Also, just a note, the Aquis waffle weave is still a little "catchy" on skin, but seems less so to me than the regular MF.
