Stylist shampooed my hair - wedding in nine days - advice, please?

TL;DR: After years of no-poo I feel like I'm back to square one. Any advice/recipes for restoring healthy hair quickly?

Long version: I'm getting married in nine days. My regular gal was booked for weeks, so I went with another stylist at her salon who I was told could do a dry, curly cut.

I went in, we talked about my hair, how I wanted just a trim, all was good, then she shampooed me! I know I'm partially to blame for not saying something while heading to the sink, but I've been a bit of a space cadet lately. Also, I wasn't expecting actual shampoo! Once we were back at the chair, I reminded her that I had wanted a dry cut - she told me not to worry and that she would've wanted to do it that way "because of the humidity" (what?). She proceeded to cut my hair like it was straight as a stick. I left with limp, shorter-than-I-wanted hair lacking the curls/waves I have grown to love.

But, like many prior mediocre haircuts, I figured that once I hopped in the shower, used my own product, and crunched it up like I usually do, all would be fine. Not so. :P

So I'm fretting and not sure what my next step should be. Any advice? I'd take anything from recipes to help get my texture/body back to reminders that it'll get back to normal eventually - though probably not in nine days.

Thanks, everyone!!
I think there is a good chance it will settle into the new cut! Also, you are definitely not back to square on IMHO, one off shampoo is not like months or years of daily sulphate, and can even be helpful sometimes. I don't know if the shampoo she used had cones in, or if she conditioned with cones (I'm assuming you prefer CG products)? If that is a possibility I'd be tempted to do a one off gentle low poo (with coco betaine, or other shampoo with cone removers that you've found works ok for you) and then follow with either a PT then a DT, or just a DT if you're protein sensitive. After shampooing your hair will actually be more receptive to the needed ingredients in the treatments. Then you can resume co washing, and conditioning/treatments as you were planning to. Hope it all goes well, whatever happens I am sure you will look stunning on the day.

UK based wavy

Mostly waves, but curls and straight bits too!
Fine to medium, high porosity, medium density, very low elasticity
Highlights damage (growing it out), seems to like protein and need lots of moisture.

Cleanse - CJDF, trying out low poos ; Co wash- Uk chemist brands, Urtekram Rose or Aloe, Hairveda Amala Cream Rinse; RO - varies, Tigi Moisture Maniac, Desert Essence Coconut ; Leave in - Keracare natural textures; Sealant - argan oil
Trying out new things, still looking.
I just wanted to chime in on all Lucy's suggestions. That's pretty much what I would do if that was my hair. The only thing I'd add is if your hair still isn't back to normal levels of definition in a few days, maybe try calling up your regular stylist or even the salon manager for a retouch? Even a small adjustment of the layers can make a big difference in how the hair lays and how it behaves.

Summer Products /Routine:
Clarifying: ACV rinses, Suave Professional Men Deep Clean Peppermint
Low Poo: Renpure Luxurious Argan Oil
Co-washes: VO5 Kiwi Lime Squeeze or Strawberries & Cream
RO: VO5 KLS or S&C, Cure Care
LI (if needed): VO5 S&C, VO5 SC, Cure Care
Stylers: FSG, AIF,
Tresemme Flawless Curls Bouncy Curls gel
PT: IAGirl's (link) as needed
Thanks for the input! I'm going to try a PT this weekend and see what the results are. I've never tried one before, but have found some good suggestions online.

And you're right, GC, I should wait it out and then see if I can get a touch-up.

Just have to be patient for a few days and stop being such a worrywart!
You're totally allowed to worry..at any time but especially nine days pre wedding!
Congratulations, by the way

I wouldn't go overboard with protein if you've never tried it, but if you have been ok with protein conditioners then it should be ok. Just be sure to follow the PT with a deep moisture treatment. Plus, great idea from Geek Chic to try a touch up with your stylist if things don't settle into normal - play the wedding card and she'll surely fit you in as it wouldn't take as long as a full cut!
