I don't think I've ever had hair this shiny! I just wanted to share, I hope that's okay.

The curly pics were taken 2 days ago. The muttonchop/handlebar situation pic was taken this past December, before I went CG. That was my hair, and me clearly handling it ever-so-gently. .

On the day of the curly pics, co-washed with Sukin Nourishing Condish, rinsed and then put in a palmful of Nature's Gate Jojoba Condish mixed with about a tablespoon of honey. Let it sit for about 7ish min while I washed up, shaved etc. then rinsed it out w/ cold water while holding my hair up (as explained in the CG handbook). I then hurriedly tiptoed naked to my fridge trying not to slip and fall on my ass to get my FSG (ok, not far, my shower's off my kitchen). No accidents but lots of extra water. Also, pre-planning. For next time. Anywhoo I scrunched in about 2 T of my cold and plain FSG and gave my hair one final quick rinse. Out of the shower I squeezed moisture out of my hair w/ a tshirt and then plopped for about 1/2 hr w/ another tshirt. Then air-dried the rest of the way. Around 5 hours later (my hair was still damp in some areas, especially around the nape root area) these pics were the result. I couldn't really believe it was my hair! I know many of you have hair this shiny, but I never thought my hair could do that. Of course the flash helps a lot, but you know, still a difference.

Thank you for this post! I'm about a month and a half in & feeling discouraged about having CG shiny hair. Now you have given me hope! Your hair looks great! Laughed at your story too. I've been there!

Curly and PROUD!!!

My hair has a mix of low/med/high porosity, and it's medium textured (some are still fine, though!)

I do the flash method. AKA I take a picture of my hair anytime I'm feeling bad about myself. And then I feel better. LOL!
