New Combo for Undefined Curls
I have been reading the CurlTalk posts for YEARS! I have posted from time to time, but not too often. I prefer to just read and experiment.
I used to wear my hair curly all the time and loved it. At some point I fell out of favor with my curly hair and began my straight hair journey. For years, I straightened my hair until it barely curled. I came across the site maybe 10 years ago and from time to time would experiment with curly hair. My hair never looked like it used to because I was addicted to the flat iron. I was never at peace with my hair. Constantly straightening but wishing I could love my hair curly again.
Two weeks ago, I came to the realization that I was tired of looking at dry, limp, stick-straight hair. It's seems like it's all I ever see. I can pick out a curly girl gone straight in no time! I was definitely tired of my hair as well. It was dry and fried.
I have 2C - 3A hair. It is fine, porous and enjoys some protein. I have tried most of the popular products, old favorites, and some in between. I have tried expensive products and drugstore brands. I could never find the right combination. My hair never had well defined curls. They always looked "stringy".
Two weeks ago, I looked in the mirror and said to my self, "What am I doing? Quit straightening your hair." I went on to Curl Mart and started researching new products and ordered some new ones.
I just wanted you to know that I have had great luck with these to two combinations.
Coffee-Coco Curl Creme (CJ) and Curl Jam (Coil Jam)
I also received a sample of Natural Curl Enhancing Mousse (Design Essentials) it made a super combination and Curly Kinks (Coil Jam).
I really like the NCEM with the Curly Jam. I must say that my curls are so plump and defined. I also think the Curly Jam smells really amazing.
I guess I just want those of you to know who continue to struggle with your curls to not give up. I am sure I will still have bad hair days, but curly hair is beautiful. The right product combo is out there for all us. I hope this post helps someone who has the same type hair and hair concerns that I have shared with you.
Good luck on your hair journey.
If you care to share, post your hair type and favorite combos next.
