color change and no hair dye

Just wondering if this has happened to anyone. I henna my white roots, but that's it, so I don't think henna should be the main cause. But just lately, like the last four months, I've noticed my hair looks not as dark in general, like it's turning more a dark brown, not as dark brown-leaning towards black. Is this a sign of getting old or what the heck?? Just wonder if anyone else has had their hair color (overall) change slightly and if it can change back, if it's temporary or if I'm gonna eventually become blonde or what. Kind of weird. I've always had some golden hairs mixed in, but not I notice there are more of them, maybe that's what is causing my overall hair color to lighten, who knows. I still have those dark black coarse ones, but like I said, it' just looks lighter overall.

Some shades of hair fade as we get older. I notice my own red has less depth and natural variety of color as I age.

interesting huh? Do you also notice you get more whites as your color has faded, or just the change in color?
