So here is my story:

I've gone through shampoo, after shampoo, after shampoo. All have left my hair...god you couldn't take a weed whacker to my hair without breaking the weed whacker! XD Yes, that bad! I remember back as a kid I used this product called Willow Lake. Only stuff that did wonders when i was a kid and now it no longer exists. Makes me sad =[

Now i've been trying to go Organic, but its been a hit and miss. I've been trying to get stuff that is Sulfate-free and the cones don't do as much damage as i've seen so far.

I've started to use Organix, which it was good stuff, but there were a hit and miss.

Then I tried Hair-one..oh god i don't think i'll ever use anything like Hair-one or wen..[not sure if wen is any better..idk]

I think tried Giovanni..they were okish

I did Aubrey and it was good, but the shampoo seemed like it stripped my hair and it felt..weird.

I'm trying the stuff from trader Joes, and i'm finding it as a miss.

Now i have read that it takes time for the stuff to work, and low and behold..i'm that one person that expects results right away ._.; habit that will be broken...i hope..

Now i have another brand called Simply U and i'm iffy..

Another note: My Curls have relaxed cause my hair has gotten longer..and i have very thick hair.

What i am looking for?

-Shampoo and Conditioner that will make my hair soft
-Cheap in price..I am on a budget majorly and need to be able to afford it
-Product that i don't have to use too much..before i went through conditioner like it was water..
-I do Dye my hair [which is gonna stop] to keep my natural redhead look XD

So what do you recommend?

[PS: these links are images of my hair right now XD Feel free to judge and tell me what kinda curly hair i got..i think it maybe 3A..idk image1 Image2]
I would suggest buying Shea Moisture shampoo they don't have silicones or sulfates and in my opinion leave your hair moisturized. Every time I wash, my hair doesn't feel dry or hard. It's a bit pricey around $10 a bottle which you can find at Walmart or Target, but since I use it once a week, it usually last me a while. It's worth the money. As for the conditioner I use suave naturals its really cheap (less than $2 a bottle and sometimes on sale too) you can find it pretty much anywhere and don't have to worry about using too much. Plus I find it has a good amount of slip. If you have been dyeing your hair often or for years I would suggest a protein treatment. My hair is coarse and according to this site usually doesn't like protein, but since I've dyed my hair for 10+ years and flat ironed it, it does wonders and my hair loves it. You can always do a deep treatment after if it feels a little dry. As for hair type, in your pics it looks like your hair might have been brushed so it's hard to tell what it is tho a lot of ppl here will tell you it's not as important as knowing your properties. I found that knowing my properties help with my hair products such as treatments and conditioners but knowing my type helped with the styling products. But that's just my opinion. Good luck and hope this helps.

I have never heard of shea shampoo before! I must find it! Now my hair isn't course just dry and fluffy XD I do need to go get it trimmed..cause it has been I believe a year =3=;

Now what is a protien treatment? o3o
Linyah, the best way to choose products is if you know your properties. How thick your strands are, your porous your hair is, etc. Check out this site. It really helped me pick products that my hair likes.

Oh and a protein treatment is like a deep treatment but more protein based than moisture based. You can slather your hair with mayonnaise thirty minutes before you're supposed to shower. You can mix some egg, olive or coconut oil together and put that in your hair to leave for an hour. You could do a keratin treatment using knox unflavored gelatin. (Very easy!) Or you could buy a protein treatment. Joice K-Pak and Aphogee two-step are reportedly popular but I like to experiment at home. Why buy something when I can whip it up myself, you know? So fine to medium hair and very porous hair tends to like a PT now and again. Coarse hair tends not to.

Well..I don't know if my hair is porous or not..but YEARS ago I got very badly done highlights and no deep conditioning helped the dried out hair..

All I know is my hair is dry, and breaks easily..after brushing I can still rake out strands of hair

Which was why inliked aubrey..I had seen less hair falling out and breaking, but I didn't like the way the shampoo made my hair feel..well like rubber o3o

You can also check Walgreens. They sometimes have them on sale. Last time I got it for $8.

Hope you share your progress
