Curly cocktail- what's your favorite?

If not in your signature, try to give your hair properties!

We all have our favorite products, obviously. So, how do you cocktail them? What consistently works for you? You can use specific products or generic product categories (curl cream + hard hold gel, etc)....

I'll start!

KCKT + Seal with oil + recoil or curls rock + arc angel

KCKT + seal with oil + curl keeper + HETT mousse (low/mid dews only)

SM Yucca milk + oil sealer + SS CEJ + SS FHG

always SOTC with JCS nourish & shine

I have two go-to combos that I absolutely love when I need guaranteed awesome hair.
1. LI + TIGI Curls Rock Amplifier + Curl Keeper + TIGI Curlesque Strong Mousse (diffused with SMasters technique, using the mousse in place of KCCC)
2. LI + Re:Coil + Curl Keeper + Deva Ultra Defining Gel. Diffused, no special technique.

Properties in signature, but for people on the phone app: fine texture, thick density, normal porosity and elasticity.

I also went on a recent product binge, so I'll be experimenting with new stuff for the next few weeks and might need to update this at some point.

Oooh, I can't wait to read more post on this thread! You American CG's are so lucky to have such a variety of CG products!

Ok, I just got a hair cut so today I am a very bouncy 3b, it sits just above my shoulder when curly. My hair is really really thick (in part because of PSC), low porosity, my biggest reoccurring problem with my hair right now is dry ends. This is my no fuss, soft curl combination:

Ends Sealant: Coconut oil + LI: Ultraorganics Henna Hair Wax (My HG this stuff is the bomb) + Vivant Revitafoam = Light soft curls that don't frizz

I occasionally do a blow wave for 3rd day hair:

A lot of Coconut oil on bottom layers + Ultraorganics Henna Hair Wax (Did I mention that I love this stuff?) + Batiste Dry Shampoo = Very sleek but not greasy hair (if only for one day)

Round 1- aveyou.com, planned repurchase of CHS Treatment Shampoo and Curl Keeper, trial of CJ Pattern Pusha, Curl Queen, and Gentle Lather Shampoo. This was my reward for dropping 20 pounds.

Round 2- CurlMart coupon code. Trial of SS Caitlin's Conditioner, Protein Treatment, CEJ, and Firm Hold Gel. Mop Top Conditioner and Light Hold Anti-Frizz Gel, Darcy's Botanicals cream gel, Curlisto Structura Lotion and Control II Gel. This was my reward for surviving black belt testing

Round 3- aveyou again. Had a coupon code and had seen great reviews for the gel on CurlMart, but aveyou also had shampoo and conditioner (and conditioner had the word "protein" right in the name) and I needed my $50 purchase to get the $1 shipping, so I ordered Batia & Aleeza shampoo, conditioner and gel.

I did the math and I still won't be anywhere near my stash count record (an obscene 125+ different products), but I still decided to clear out a bunch of stuff that doesn't thrill me. Luckily I have a friend who's also a curly and on a strict budget right now because she had to move her wedding from next Oct to this Oct so at least they'll get used. And I have a ton of experimenting to do.

You have a lot to celebrate! Congrats on the weight loss and black belt! My son is in tae kwon do, and I want to do it too- it looks like fun.

Let us know how the experimenting goes!

Another thread I'd love to see..."post photos of your product stash!" Lol.

I actually did post photos once, over on WHC on FB. It took multiple photos. I believe I had something like 26 different conditioners.
