Default What is your favorite oil to deal your hair with?

I like coconut oil for the summer, but I want more oils. I've heard olive oil it good, but it gives my hair a rustic/musky smell.

I use coconut oil as a deep conditioner and argan oil for the shine and softness

Love sweet almond oil and Argan. Oh and EO's has a nice oil blend that my hair loves. They call it a serum..it's CG.

Coconut oil for me all year round, lauric acid penetrates the best of all the fatty acids AFAIK and helps reduce porosity and protein loss. Have used conditioner containing palm oil which really worked for me, just ordered one containing avocado oil.

There are various articles by Tonya McKay on oils that you might find useful

Besides coconut my other favorite oil is avocado oil. It makes my hair very silky, penetrates the hair shaft better than olive oil, is easier to cowash out, and doesn't make ya smell like a salad. I also dig grapeseed oil/jojoba for sealing.

I also like mineral oil (J&J baby) for sealing along with either of the above mentioned oils. The other oils are great for sealing, pre-poo treatment, DT...you name it.

Castor oil. Love the stuff.

Coconut and jojoba are very drying on me.
