Default Rec's for curl enhancers, properties inside!

Properties listed in siggy.

My hair has gotten curlier since the weather has warmed up and it's been great, except frizz. In a BIG way. I had read glycerin can make it worse, which my products have. I usually use fsg, sm smoothie, and the KCCC On top.
So, I dropped the smoothie and my clumps fell apart. I tried the deva curl gel and my hair liked that, but it has glycerin, too, and on high dew days my hair FREAKED!

So, any recs for no glycerin curl enhancers?

What do you put in your FSG now? I'd say take out the glycerin if you do put it in there and replace it with something moisturizing to help seal and combat frizz. I add vitamin E oil, AVG, and marshmallow root to my FSG. You could also add, mix or just plain use the shea moisture curl & style milk which contains a lot of the ingredients that the smoothie has but doesn't have the glycerin.

I dont see your sig. I'm on the app.

Have you tried sealing in the moisture to help prevent frizz and moisture seeping in? You also want to make sure your hair is moisturized well and providing enough protein if your hair needs it.
Here's what I do
After cleansing and a rinse out condish, apply a leave in and then use some oil to seal in the moisture. Apply product and finish with a hard hold gel. Then sotc with more oil as necessary.
I cant use KCCC without using a gel on top. My hair gets too puffy. Try using a gel over the top and see if that helps. I use LA Looks sports gel.

Thanks! I cowash with TJ's TTT, then condition with the generic GVP CB or the Generic KPac. Daily stresses my hair out too much with the protein so it's every other day. Then I do tresemee as a leave in with jojoba oil to seal. I put straight fsg in, and then KCCC. Diffuse, add a but more KCCC if needed and that it. But then I got to thinking, I add plain gelatin in the fsg the last few times...is that causing my issue?!
I do need a harder hold gel. I need to just buy some la looks. I mean, they have a 97 cent tube at Walmart in the travel section. I just always assume it won't work du it's cheap. I know, I'm a snob.

You might want to try the LALPS (power spikes) instead if glycerin is a big concern!

I really love AIF and HESMU - they are basically the same thing. I can't remember if they are glycerin free, but they can't be glycerin heavy, I don't think.

And for frizz control and moisture retention... Nothing beats MO!

Have you tried AG Recoil? Spiral Solutions CEJ? Tigi Curls Rock (has a cone)? I find all of those to be very enhancing and are glycerin free.

I've read harder hold gels are a must in the summer to help prevent frizz when the dews are high. So it might be a two fold problem of glycerin + not enough hold. And since you're fine haired you don't have to be too afraid of protein so you have a wider selection, don't you? I've tried AIF and it's pretty hard. Too hard for me in an arid climate but I bet it would keep your curls intact in a more humid one.
