1) Proclaim Olive Glossing Shampoo and Conditioner. I used them at my bf's house one time and they left my hair feeling really nice.

2) Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Conditioner. I've tried the shampoo and really like it, so I wanna try the conditioner

3) Other oils: JBCO (I've ordered some), Castor Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Tea Tree Oil, etc.

4) HairOne Olive Oil Cleansing Conditioner

5) Eden Bodyworks Coconut Shea Cleansing Conditioner. I used one of their other conditioners as a RO and liked it, so I'd like to try this one.

6) RenPure Cleansing Conditioner

7) Mixed Chicks Deep Conditioner

Curls Champagne and Caviar Curl Elixir

9) Herbal Essences Honey I'm Strong Shampoo. I use the conditioner so I'd like to see what the shampoo is like.

10) Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship Conditioner, and maybe the shampoo as well.

Some of these are just products I'd like to try, but the ones that are most definitely on my wish list are 1, 3, and 5. I was so disappointed to find that Proclaim used cones and sulfates when I was CG. Now that I'm not CG anymore I plan to get some of my own after I use up the products I've got already.

The Perfect Product:
1) No silicones if it's an RO condish so I get less build-up

2) Won't dry my hair out or make it look like a frizzy mess

3) A little bit going a long way

4) Not too many proteins, if it must contain them. Otherwise, no proteins.

5) Affordable/a fair price for the size of the bottle. EG-- A giant salon-size bottle costing $20? That's fair because of how much you're getting. But $15 for like an 8 oz bottle that'll only get me through the week? That's crazy. (Curl Junkie, I'm looking at you!)

6) Creates good curl definition! Also must leave curls nice and springy and bouncy. I like when people boing my curls, so they must also look nice and boing-able!

7) Will continuously give me the same results as it did the first time. Ideal results is that it is soft, moisturized, and detangled so I can run my fingers through it even after I've rinsed it out.

I specifically want to try KCKT and As I Am Coconut CoWash. I'd love to find a really good cleansing conditioner or low-poo, a super moisturizing deep conditioner, and a curl cream/smoothie like SM CE smoothie that does.not.make.my.hair.frizz.
Fine - dense - normal porosity - normal elasticity - BSL - dye free - 2cish

Loving AIA coconut cowash, goats milk soap bars, GVP conditioning balm, KCKT, Marie Dean styling creams, LALSG, coconut oil, SM milk

I use the nice & curly 3-in-1 shampoo (sulfate free)/conditioner/detangle, Eden body works deep condition, coconut oil for my scalp & ends, organic root stimulator twist & lock gel. Or I'll use Shea moisture curl enhancing styling milk.
I already updated my list. I'm seriously hoping I won't become a product junkie, but I'm fearing myself already, haha.

Thanks for your response. I know there's no magic product, but I suffer from scalp issues and split ends so hopefully I can find something to strengthen my hair.

Finally nothing!

Same here! My product junkie days are ov-a. I still may pick up some Uncle Funky Daughter's Curly Magic but I seem to keep forgetting as it's not a priority anymore. I also keep forgetting to fetch some frozen okra to make okra gel although I genuinely am curious. I'm just really happy with my hair now that I've learned for certain the key is keeping it well moisturized 24-7.

Jessiebanana and Dusalocks, how do you keep your hair moisturised? I know our properties are very different, Dusalocks, but still. I think this is one of my biggest problems right now.

I have CJ Beauticurls Argan & Olive Oil Conditioner sitting on the self because I haven't figured out yet how to use it without being overconditioned or getting weighed down curls.

Other things I'm thinking about is adding aloe vera gel to my FSG, but will that suffice?

2. I can't comment on the aloe, because I'm very allergic. Bumps, rashes, itching and all that jazz.

3. I look at ingredients now. I don't care what a product says it's for or what it's supposed to do, I go for what my hair likes and what I think it will be good for. My hair likes water based conditioners that are light on oils and light on protein and not all proteins are okay. The wheat, quinoa, and keratin ones are too intense. I can only use one protein product in my arsenal.

My hair likes humectants in the climate I live in. If I dry my hair out with a sulfate it takes about 1-2 weeks for my hair to get back to normal, but once it's there it's good.

I like this site, but you can't get too caught up in what other people use. Someone can be your hair twin, but not live in the same climate as you or want the same results. There is a certain amount of trial and error, but the errors can be progress if you pay attention.

I've learned that gels dry me out (I think it's the polymers) and I get crunch I can't scrunch out, the propellants in mousse dry me out, too much protein makes my hair cray cray and that my undamaged hair has a very strong curl pattern, oils alone or in high quantities can make my hair frizz, my hair is easily coated and coated = dryness, I have a very dry scalp so my natural oils are sacred to my skin and my hair...those are sort of the main rules for my hair and I choose products accordingly.

I don't if this helps you at all, since I'm not you, but this has been my experience.
