What's your product wish list?

What products are on your "list" to try?

What would your dream product do for you?

For me, I'm wanting to try Giovanni SaS (and I will be as soon as I find it at a store!), CHS treatment shampoo, Curl Keeper, and KCCC.

My dream products would have protein, be moisturizing yet light, perhaps sealing, enhance/tighter my curls, help create clumps, have a firm yet SOTC-able hold, last all day, and create frizz free volume.

Is that so much to ask?? LOL! I wouldn't even care if that was 2-3 products, as long as they achieved all of that and played nice together!!

My wish list:

Spiral Solutions Protein Treatment. But it seems impossible for Europeans to get a hold of this...

Corrina777 05-07-2013 09:03 AM

After my last product binge, there's not much left to my wish list. SS Protein Spray, UFD Curly Magic, CHS Gel. That's it.

Jas76 05-07-2013 09:06 AM

Corrina, have you ever tried Redken Cat protein spray? I THINK it's CG. I used to use it years ago, and considered picking up some more for a protein hit! (Though I could just use some CNPF in a spray bottle, I suppose!)

I've never seen it. I've been using diluted NPF in the meantime. I might just stick to that since I seem to have issues with spray anything.

Jas76 05-07-2013 09:20 AM

Are you diluting it with water? And if so, are you refrigerating it? I was thinking of diluting with some condish so I could perhaps avoid the refrigeration issue.

I LOVE FSG, but that's my issue with it - having to refrigerate it and not being able to travel with it.

Corrina777 05-07-2013 09:34 AM

I diluted with distilled water. I refrigerate overnight but during the day it's usually in my gym bag. I also added a pinch of Epsom salt for added curl enhancement.

What products are on your "list" to try?
- Shea Moisture Curling Soufflé
- KCCC
- FSG (but I have to get a strainer first. Then I could also - finally! - strain my couscous without too much trouble, but that's not hair-related of course :-P).
- BRHG. I have a sample and I think I like it.

What would your dream product do for you?
- Provide hold (this is one of the most important things for me).
- Add a little definition (I mean, I don't have supercurly hair and I don't expect it to be, but a little definition would be nice).
- Enhance my curls (without product, they just vanish because my hair is so heavy).
- They should be light, i.e. not weigh my hair down.
- Preferably without oils.
- No sulfates, cones or polyquats.
- It should not leave a producty feel or look.
- Any crunch should be scrunched out. Preferably, it has no crunch at all.
- Promote clumping.

I haven't mentioned frizz-fighting because my hair is (luckily!) not prone to frizz. I have voluminous hair as long as I pick the right products.

I'm wanting to try:

Jessicurl stuff- RR & CC, and the gentle shampoo & deep condish

Curl Junkie conditioners

Spiral Solutions Protein treatment

Original Moxie Just Gel- since it's FSG that doesn't have to be refrigerated!

BUT...I have spent a small fortune on products, and until I use some up, or swap or sell, or something....I just can't justify any more purchases. It will take years to use up what I have, lol! :)

My HG products will condition, control frizz, enhance curl, and hold my definition until 5 pm. Is that too much to ask???!!!!

Since you and I are basically hair twins, I can tell you that I tried the Jessicurl stuff and was horribly disappointed. The SS Protein Treatment was worth waiting for, and I liked CJ conditioners well enough, but not enough to continue to reorder.

The thing that bothers me about the CJ condishes, is they are so expensive...I have so many great conditioners that are cheaper...so I don't know if I'll ever order them. The JC stuff- what didn't you like about them?

By the way, how are you liking your new products? Have you tried the SS CEJ + FHG yet? I am still LOVING those products- used them again yesterday and had a great hair day.

Today I used my okra gel + HESMU and am having an amazing hair day!

Two great hair days in a row! I'm a happy camper. :p

Corrina777 05-07-2013 11:56 AM

I also have cheaper conditioners that I'm liking better than the CJ ones. I'm still playing with my new stash. Definitely liking the SS stuff. Wishy-washy about the rest, but I've been having some hair issues this week that I suspect are technique related, so I'm not ready give up on the rest of it yet.
My issue with the Jessicurl stuff was that I had no definition at all. The conditioner was ok, but the styling products left my hair poofy and undefined. I ended up adding gel over the CC and RR with some improvement, but didn't find the results to be better than anything else I used.

I'm dying to try CJ Curls in a Bottle. I'm trying to wait very patiently to swap for it, but I'm failing :confused2:.

Products on my wish list:
KCCC
Curl Keeper
Yes to Carrots antifrizz serum
Yes to Carrots leave-in

My HG products would give me: moistured hair (that's really difficult for me, probably because of the dye I guess), a bit of hold, frizz control (hell yeah I need that, but that'll probably be better with more moisture as well), definition
So especially: moisture I guess

pinkwolf 05-07-2013 01:12 PM

YesToCucc's conditioner
DevaCut
Rhassol (sp?) Clay
KC Spiral Spritz

Forgot to mention what my dream products would do in my post :)

All my products must create big, voluminous, frizz free ringlets. But don't necessarily have to start at the root (I actually like it when it is slightly wavy on top :) ). Also, it must help create big, thick clumps. :D

My low-poo must remove light build-ups and over-conditioning, without stripping it dry. And it must have proteins and some moisturizing oils and panthenol. (I already have this great product :D)

My co-wash has to be very light without any chance of getting build-up... but must have lots of proteins.

My rinse out would have lots and lots of proteins and have moisturizing and great oils like coconut and argan... it must also provide good slip. (I actually already have this dream conditioner :) )

My leave in must be very very light, no oils at all for my easily over-conditioned and over-oiled hair. BUT it must have LOTS of proteins, and panthenol would be good as well. No drying alcohols etc. even if it's low on the ingredients list. Must smell delicious.

My styler must have light or medium hold or in between, have proteins, maybe some peg-40 hydrogenated castor oil (my hair loves that stuff, and it doesn't weigh it down or give any build-up issues). No drying alcohols etc. even if it's low on the ingredients list. No build-up stuff. Must smell delicious. Lol.

LOL I'm asking a lot :D

I already have my ideal sealer (grapeseed oil) and ideal hair growth stimulator (Jamaican Black castor oil with coconut oil, I massage my scalp with that (helps sooo much!). And other than that I drink looots of water and have supplement pills with extra vitamins, minerals, etc).

New_to_Curlz 05-07-2013 05:25 PM

Have any of you ever used Joico Curl Definer? It is a super light creme/gel and has protein in it.
I used it yesterday with a 2 finger dip of KCCC and a little Loreal Eversleek to help with hold. My hair was frizz free and bouncy yesterday and I had good second day hair with no help.

I'm just curious if any other protein loving wavy/curlies had any experience with it.

Vivant Revitafoam, I wish I could justify buying this. It is a brilliant product.

Perfect Product? Made in Australia, Cruelty Free, Sustainable, Gives Back to the community, Moisturisers, Multi-tasks, Leaves Soft Shiny Curls - NO CRUNCH!

BlackAngelPlayah 05-08-2013 03:42 AM

A cream that makes my hair look as great ad it does with gels. :)

Yeah, I'm a bit of a product junkie

1) Proclaim Olive Glossing Shampoo and Conditioner. I used them at my bf's house one time and they left my hair feeling really nice.

2) Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Conditioner. I've tried the shampoo and really like it, so I wanna try the conditioner

3) Other oils: JBCO (I've ordered some), Castor Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Tea Tree Oil, etc.

4) HairOne Olive Oil Cleansing Conditioner

5) Eden Bodyworks Coconut Shea Cleansing Conditioner. I used one of their other conditioners as a RO and liked it, so I'd like to try this one.

6) RenPure Cleansing Conditioner

7) Mixed Chicks Deep Conditioner

8) Curls Champagne and Caviar Curl Elixir

9) Herbal Essences Honey I'm Strong Shampoo. I use the conditioner so I'd like to see what the shampoo is like.

10) Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship Conditioner, and maybe the shampoo as well.

Some of these are just products I'd like to try, but the ones that are most definitely on my wish list are 1, 3, and 5. I was so disappointed to find that Proclaim used cones and sulfates when I was CG. Now that I'm not CG anymore I plan to get some of my own after I use up the products I've got already.

The Perfect Product:
1) No silicones if it's an RO condish so I get less build-up

2) Won't dry my hair out or make it look like a frizzy mess

3) A little bit going a long way

4) Not too many proteins, if it must contain them. Otherwise, no proteins.

5) Affordable/a fair price for the size of the bottle. EG-- A giant salon-size bottle costing $20? That's fair because of how much you're getting. But $15 for like an 8 oz bottle that'll only get me through the week? That's crazy. (Curls Unleashed, I'm looking at you!)

6) Creates good curl definition! Also must leave curls nice and springy and bouncy. I like when people boing my curls, so they must also look nice and boing-able! :toothy8:

7) Will continuously give me the same results as it did the first time. Ideal results is that it is soft, moisturized, and detangled so I can run my fingers through it even after I've rinsed it out.
