FSG how I love thee, so why do I always use other products?

I always seem to revert to using other products?!?! So, yesterday I made yet another batch and I can honestly say this is my most fave batch yet!

I boiled the seeds for 18 minutes (longest time ever for me!) and then strained them.

I added:
  • 1/8 tsp mag sulfate
  • 1/4 tsp citric acid
  • 1/8 tsp optiphen
  • 1/4 packet of dissolved gelatin
  • 1/4 tsp argan oil
  • EO's
I had tried gelatin in FSG before but it was an epic fail ( I think I added way too much!) I had recently read that a bit of protein during these higher dewpoint days can help prevent OC'ing, so I thought I would try again.

Well, I washed my hair last night after work (rinsing out more of my RO than normal) and when I SOTC, I was amazed and the definition, shine and springiness! I had scrunched in a very small amount of KCCC then the FSG, and smoothed a nickel sized amount of BRHG over the canopy. I think I finally found my higher dew routine!

This pic is from this AM with no touch-ups after pineappling last night

18 MINUTES????? How were you able to strain it???

If i can figure out how to make my FSG so I don't have to refrigerate it, I'll be fully back on the FSG train. Actually, I want to try Okra gel, too! Maybe both together! Haha!

OMG!! Anytime I've boiled "too long" (and that was less than 18 mins!!!) it was a gelatinous glob!!! Lol!!!
