Whoe else here is now LOVING the optimal dew points?

I am in New England and have seen quite a difference in the shrinkage and stronger curl formation since we've been in the optimal range. Very different than the winter. This is my first Spring since going CG and am loving what I am seeing so far.

I wish I was still in "optimal"- haven't been there for 6 weeks and now moved on to "frizzy curls".... :sad1:

ENJOY IT!!!!! :smilebox:

I'm spoiled. I generally see Optimal Curls. Sometimes I get Tricky Curls...but it's rare.

I'm sure I'll be in frizzy range by mid-June here. So I will be rocking it until then. My plan is to use a bit more hard hold gel then.

Your lucky, here in Florida it went directly from limp low dew waves to frizzy high dew waves :protest: . Good thing I found a hard hold gel that keeps it mostly under control. :evil4:

So far we have only had three days of optimal curls. Not long enough to figure it out lol. Always low dew points around here in Colorado.

I'm in New England and loving it, too! Unfortunately, I've discovered that cowashing and just using DevaCurl's Volumizing Foam is plenty of moisture for my hair right now. It makes me nervous to think about how my hair's going to handle the higher dew points in the summer... I'm wondering if adding more protein to offset it, or maybe using something with mag sulfate in it might help?

Either way, though, I'm definitely having fun seeing my hair right now! I'm taking lots of pictures. :love5:

I have yet to see optimal curls. I live in the desert - aka perpetual mellow curls land.

Hahaha, I have to laugh, I just took a bunch of pictures too trying to get good shots of all my ringlets and tight curls but it is hard. My hair is so dark it sucks the light in and it is very tough to get a good pic!

Please ignore goofy face. I was trying to get see the phone screen so I could make sure there was enough light.

I can't wait for the humidity to go up here. My hair and I both like hot humid weather.

my hair loves both optimal and high dew points. if it weren't for those still sneaky here and there low dew days i could go without a haircut til sept! LOL! if you are new to cg, just wait and see how your hair behaves in the high dews, it may love it. i suspect it is easier to deal with high dews than low dews????

Rbb,

I've been meaning to say for a while that I love your hair! *hair envy*. I have been CG for 5 months so I've only been since the limp low dew days of winter. Before going CG, my hair would be frizz prone in the summers here. So, I'll just have to wait and see!

jules, thanks! i love your curls, too!

Your curls look great! I have a hard time taking good photos of my hair, too. For some reason, the curls and waves never look as tight in photos as they do in real life. No idea why, but it's kind of a bummer when I have a particularly good hair day. :)
