Mousse Recommendations?

After experimenting with gels and the CG method, my hair is disgusting... My hair hates gel and not having at least SOME silicone in it. I am going to pick up my old staple condition (Tresemme Flawless curls) and get back to my old routine. Before I was CG, my hair had great 3A and some 3B ringlets. I started the CG method after some color damage last fall. I have been CG until now and my curls are now a frizzy, stringy, limp mess of 2B/2C with some straggly straight pieces!

Anyway, now to get to my REAL request:

does anyone recommend any MOUSSES? I know mousse isn't as popular but my hair DOES NOT like gels. It didn't before the color damage, either. I do not care if the mousse contains silicone or not. I'd prefer if it could be bought at a drugstore, but if not then I'd like to hear about it anyway.

Thanks, curlies!
My hair seems to be a LITTLE bit negative to gels too! Have you ever tried cream gels instead? They are less harsh than other gels. Anyways, a great mousse I once used was John Frieda mousse. And also, my hair REALLY hated the CG method too, but it all depends on what your doing.

For one thing, my water in my area is quite hard, (which means it has lots of minerals) so without a clarifying shampoo, it would build up and up in my hair, leaving frizzy lifeless curls. Also, product would never seem to want to leave my hair. Turns out secret silicones were hiding in my products.

anyways, good ones are John Frieda and I also heard that Garnier has some great mousses too. I don't enjoy buying very expensive hair products, because I fear it might not work! Also, they Pantene has some No Crunch whip. It didn't work so well, because today I discovered I have 2C hair, so it's more wavy. Was doing things wrong the whole time, go figure!

To me it's so hard to keep up with the CG program because such good looking and affordable products have silicones, and oh why. I hope I helped!

ALSO, STAY AWAY FROM DOVE MOUSSE. They changed their formula and boy is it awful! Horrible reviews!
Deva foam. HE tousle me softly.

Thanks for the heads up on the Dove mousse!
I can't use any gels at all. glycerin no glyc. Protein no protein. cones no cones. aloe no aloe.I've used every gel I can probably think of that is cheap and cg. I cannot use any gel cos it dries my hair out no matter what. I loove mouse. My hair stays defined and not limp and not crunchy at all. I use pretty much all the herbal essence mouses.
Moroccan Oil Volume Mousse is excellent. I love it.
2b/2c ( weather permitting - 3a), fine texture but lots of it, colored and highlights, BSL.

As for the question:
I am currently using tresemme flawless curls mousse and it works pretty good. I've also used HE TTCBM and love the hold. I usually put gel and then a little mousse over and I get great hold. HTH

Joico Joiwhip (firm hold). Hands down the best I have ever used, and I have used many over the past 25 years. It does contain some light proteins.
When I hear terms like "hipster" I think, who told cliques they could leave high school??

I also liked Big Sexy Hair mousse in the tall red can.

Suave - Professionals Captivating Curls Whipped Cream Mousse
@Jessiebanana: I've heard good things about that Suave mousse too, and it's only $3! I haven't used mousse in a long time, but at that price it's certainly worth a try. It's hard to find in Walgreens around here though, even here in SF. I did spot a couple of bottles of it in another neighborhood yesterday though - will have to go back and buy one.
The last time I used a mousse was when LA Looks still had their Gel2Mousse product which was fun and actually worked pretty well on my hair. Currently I'm just using the ever-popular LALSG.

Is this the Marc Anthony brand or that Moroccanoil all one word?

Moroccanoil curl mousse is my favorite mousse. It's unlike any other mousse I've tried. I don't like how expensive it is, but it lasts quite some time so it's worth it.
