I love that video. Lmao

**looks at a product** "Let me check the reviews on naturallycurly.com"

And

**walks into salon** "Do you know how to cut curly hair dry aka devacut?"

Stylist: Huh??? {confused look}

People: "My hair is so dry, I need to stop straightening it! But I don't like my natural poofy hair."

Me: "You just need to experiment with products and embrace your natural hair. Once you like it, you will never straighten it." *goes on about silicones and sulfates*

People: "Uhmm...sure!"

(actual conversation with my landlord this afternoon)

Her: "did you get a haircut?"
Me: "No, it's just curly - i'm not straightening it anymore... this is my natural hair."
Her: "OH! (points to her silky straight hair) curly hair must be SO MUCH easier!"
Me: "No... it isn't"

Friend (looking over into my purse): "What's that?"
Me: (glancing at small bag) "Oh, it's my emergency kit."
Friend: "Like a first aid kit?"
Me: "Yeah. . . but for my hair."

(Said bag contains barrettes, bobby pins, and hairbands. Come on curlies, you know we all have one of these!)

Family: Do we have any more vinegar/honey/olive oil/baking soda?
Me: No, I finished it off.
Family: What did you do with it?
Me: You know... Just... Things.
(But then I buy my own and keep it in the bathroom, and it's all like, "why is their gelatin in the bathroom cabinet?" XD )

New Roommate: Are you going to the end of orientation foam party?
Me: No, there might be sulfates in it. I don't trust products that make suds.

Roommate: *glances into pot* What are you cooking?
Me: Hair gel.

Me: My hair is really messy today.
Brother: It looks the same as it always does.
Me:

Me: I love holidays. I finally have time to deep treat my hair.

YES. Haha! I think I have a problem when that happens, then I'm like, "he/she just doesn't understand," and then I'm there for like another 20 minutes.

Forgive me for stretching the thread to things curly girls do...

I just washed my dog. I read the ingredients on his shampoo. :-)
