Ultimate proof that BRHG can really be activated again

I was really really really surprised by something...
Today (3rd day hair) I went out when it rained a bit, but only a slight bit, not enough to catch your umbrella.
I came back inside and now my hair is crunchy
It doesn't look crunchy, it looks about the same way as before, but it definitely feels crunchy I can SOTC now if I want and you can hear the crunch.

Ok, nevermind, I just found this very very funny and amazing and surprising and so on since I only applied two fingertips of BRHG on my hair 3 days ago

Has anyone else experienced this?
And does this say anything about properties?
(still waiting for my hair analysis results and I'm clueless)

That's pretty weird. Has anyone else observed such a phenomena with any other product?

Dusa, I saw you saw the before/after SOTC thread...
So, I normally also have really huge differences between before/after.
With the little little amount of rain I had the look of after SOTC (so it looked normal with its normal volume) but it felt almost like before SOTC ... crunchy (but I was able to SOTC as well)

I was wondering if that might have to do with porosity and so on, since it seems like the product then was still laying on my hair since it was "activated" again so extreme with a little little bit of rain? except if most people have this crunch after raineffect
My hair ALWAYS reactivates after it gets wet, even if it's just a little, even if all I do is give it a good misting with water! It doesn't matter what type of styling product I use, or how hard the hold is, and I don't think it's necessarily related to porosity, etc, although you can see mine in my sig.

For me, second day hair involves just redamping (not rewetting!) my hair and just scrunching it or drying it with a diffuser. I don't usually add any additional gel or mousse because the water reactivates what's already in there. I don't get great third day hair like that, but whatever's there will still reactivate if it gets wet. Usually at that point I have to add a little something extra for hold, though.

You ladies are lucky. I can't seem to reactive with water alone. I need a pinch more product every morning. My theory is my hair is so porous it eats whatever I put in it. Also I'm very modest in my application the first day so maybe I'm just not using enough. . . ? Or maybe it's a hard hold gel thing. My hair doesn't like hard hold gels so much. They dry me out and make me feel like I have a head full of ramen noodles.

I use LALSG, and I get crunch when it rains or when I scrunch in a bit of water into my hair. I got it with BRHG too. That stuff is pretty tough. Pretty much any gel will reactivate for me, but not in a totally uniform way like before SOTC. It kind of depends on how wet it gets, and where I'm getting the water. I usually get decent second day hair by either doing nothing (if my hair looks ok or I'm crunched for time) or running water in my hands and smoothing/scrunching water into my hair.

My hair will actually look better sometimes when it gets rained on. Like, if it's really soaked, it'll dry and I can SOTC again. Frizzy, but some of the curls will reform. Other times it just becomes a ball of undefined frizz though.

Interesting. I has BRHG in my hair and got rained on and I had NO new crunchiness. I suspect I'm high porosity, so maybe there's a pattern here.

I wonder if it would be different if I used a sealer before the gel.

I do believe it has to do something with porosity...
So, the porous girls in this thread seem to not be able to reactivate the crunchiness, the normal porosity girls do have crunch afterwards...I wonder what low porosity would do... maybe they can reactivate their gel when it is a slightly bit humid outside (misty but not rainy) although their hair wouldn't get "wet" because of that...
