Unhappy Loosening Pattern Because of Color!

Help! I've done a bad, bad thing and have color damaged my hair... My curls are losing and are really gross. There are now these weird, straggly, frizzy, wavy-straight pieces. My hair used to be ringlets! There are two pictures below. I bet you can tell which one has the color damage!
I need help! How do I reverse it?

My hair is:

(Used to be) 3A/3B... (now it's just BLAH!)
Low-Med porosity
Fine width
Medium density

I always do a light PT after I color, I always seems to bring my girls back to life. Coloring can be drying and so can protein so that's why I usually do a light PT. But if my hair doesn't feel dry from the color I get Aphogee 2 Step Protein Treatment.

Did you follow up with a DT? Remember your hair is very dry right now. But I think it'll bounce back. It honestly doesn't look bad. I think it looks pretty.

The first time I dyed my hair, it was noticeably rougher for a week or two after I dyed it. It did restore itself though. The second time I dyed my hair, I waited a few days, then did a gelatin treatment followed by a deep treatment (with honey, conditioner, and olive oil). That made my hair feel super soft and healthy. So, it might be worth taking several hours to really sit with a deep treatment on you hair. Also, I know personally for me egg protein treatments don't work. I like the gelatin treatment much better. But if you've had luck with egg in the past, I agree with you probably just need a hit of moisture.

Egg protein cannot penetrate the hair because the molecules are too large, try a hydrolysed protein. Follow that with a coconut oil and honey soak, really helps my colour treated porous hair. Might also consider a product containing ceramides to help replenish the cuticle 'glue' and using products at pH 4.5 to 5.5 to encourage the cuticle to lay flat.

Experimenting with: going back to basics
