Default Found something better for DT's than a shower cap!

Hi curlies!

I just want to share that I found something better to use while you're letting your DT in your hair for an hour or so than a shower cap.

I found that a shower cap still enables the DT in my hair to "drip" and that it doesn't get my hair as warm as I would like to.
Now, a week ago I bought a plastic cap used to make highlights in your hair. I used that one today and it closed tightly around my head.
I would never ever ever have been able to get all my dry hair in that cap, but when wet it was ok.
I didn't have my hair dripping on my clothes anymore, and it gave my hair this nice warm effect by reflecting my body heat.
It's this kind of cap:

and I put all my wet producted (olive oil-honey btw) hair in it and left it for an hour.

I would definitely recommend this

Oooh, that's a good idea! I bought a little bulk package of shower caps from Sally's a while back, but the dripping drives me nuts. I might make a run this weekend to see if they carry those!

Interesting idea. Don't understand why your hair is dripping tho, is your hair too wet when you apply or are you not massaging/ scrunching it in really well?

I'm putting a lot of it in it, and I massage it in really well, but my hair drips for a loooong time...
Don't know my porosity, but maybe that's why.

Firefox, you say in your siggy that you are porous, so I think it is highly likely that your hair will stop dripping quite soon because high porosity sucks everything up...
Maybe that's why your hair doesn't drip?
Don't know though...

Anyway: my hair always drips when it's wet... always
And I really don't like olive oil-honey to drip

Besides, the highlightcap doesn't only prevent dripping, but it also holds your body heat much better than a showercap I noticed, so it might be interesting as well if your hair doesn't drip.

Hair is almost dry, after 5-10 minutes blowdrying and 4,5 hours airdrying...
Laaaaaaaaalalalaaa
(by the way: I have a bit longer than shoulderlength hair and medium density)

I'm not putting my deep treatments into wet hair, only barely damp not enough water to ever drip. I scrunch as much water out as possible or towel turban which obviously I don't do when regular conditioning for CG. Makes spreading the product more difficult which is why I started scrunching it in!

I figure too much water would mean the oils won't absorb since they are not water soluble. Perhaps it's easier for me to scrunch or turban out the water to damp since I have porous hair?

I would be sooo happy if I knew my porosity, but still waiting for my analysis results...
Sometimes I have the feeling I have porous hair (colour treated and so on), but at the same time I have the feeling like it isn't porous at all (reacts more like low porosity most of the time...
I guess I will end up with normal porosity then
I'm hoping to get my results tomorrow. LCLF already has them since may 20th but I never received the email they sent me (no, not in my junk folder either) and they offered me to resend it to me and I accepted and Mary Pat emailed me with the offer last Saturday, so maybe she will email again this Saturday I hope.

I also scrunch out most of the water before applying my DT, but it still keeps on dripping
