Hair spray or alternative for CG?

Prior to CG, I used to wear my hair curly a few times a month and had a pretty ok routine for getting clumpy curls. I used a light gel (which just happens to be CG!), a little bit of curling iron to fix the straights and weirdos, scrunch and shake and then would finish with some pomade for clumping and frizz control and then top it all with a nice light coat of pantene hair spray with a little more scrunching.

Now that I am CG, I am not sure what to use for this purpose. I can't wait to try out the burnt sugar pomade to deal with my heavy halo of frizz, but I have already spent upwards of $100 on products in just three weeks of CG so am waiting. But I'd also love to try something to hold my body longer since doing the flip and shake repeatedly during the day adds to my frizz. Any suggestions?

I have been using Suave Extreme Hold 10 Hair Spray. It is very effective and long lasting. And also it is very affordable. . For a more detailed review, go to: http://buythe.info/suave-extreme-hold-10-hair-spray/?ref=cherrytiu
I feel your pain about the hairspray! What I've switched to is Garnier Fructis spray gel. It'd cg with no drying alcohol like hairspray. It takes a while to get the hang of it so use a light hand!
I'm going to go ahead and say 3a
fine/medium texture and a bit porous-I color
Spring routine: Renpure luxurious argan oil shampoo/Loreal Advanced Care Color conditioner , HETT gel
Microfiber towel/diffuse
Trying KKCC
I use spray gel as hairspray! HESMU is my fave - the mist is very fine.

I also have used SM's Curl and Shine spray, too, and like it a lot.

I do on occasion use a hairspray for days I really want my style to hold up. I use GF flexible hold humidity hairspray. (Not the exact name, but close!). It's a soft hold and doesn't leave my hair at all crunchy or "net-like", or coated, etc. I don't find it to be drying, either. (I don't use it everytime, I use a lot of condish, LI, and do regular DT's, though!)

I asked a question about hairspray on here not too long ago, as well. I got some strong-hold spray gel and it works pretty good. Since then, I've also purchased a non-alcohol hairspray - L'Oreal EverStyle Alcohol-Free Strong Hold Styling Spray. I LOVE it. It doesn't make my hair brittle like my old hairspray did and it has great hold.

I'll use the Spray Gel for general purposes and the Hairspray when I really need my hair to hold up.

Ingredients
Aqua/Water/Eau, VA/Crotonates/Vinyl Neodecanoate Copolymer, Triethanolamine, Sodium Benzoate, Phenoxyethanol, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Ethylhexylglycerin, Parfum/Fragrance, Octylacrylamide/Acrylates/Butylaminoethyl Methacrylate Copolymer, Methylisothiazolinone, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis Oil/Orange Peel Oil, Glycerin.
Thanks for following up. I do occaisionally use aveda air control hair spray and although it does have alcohol it does not have any cones and the polymer in it is water soluble from what I can tell from research and use. Very helpful when I need my hair to withstand the outdoors!
