Jessicurl gets another plug!

Barmaid Blog is a blog kept by a female bartender in NYC. Her latest entry features a plug for Jessicurl:

(The comments also feature some unfortunate ideas about no-pooing. I made a comment to try and set it straight.)

I have to admit the first time I heard about co washing I saw some seriously greasy heads doing it. I'm glad I saw some pics of people's hair that had it down better. or maybe just cared if their hair looked like crap.
That's wild to be reading and hear about the show. Actually it was wild when Jess first made the product, then later it's just so dunno common place to have it around when she was just one of us on the board to begin with.
I don't know where I think small business owners come from but apparently I didn't think they came from the hair boards

Heh!

I had to go leave a comment myself.

Interesting blog read too.

Good comment! You were clearer than I was. :)

BTW, Sassette,
You have the most beautiful hair! And when I read the Barmaid blog and saw your avatar, I was like, wow, her hair looks so clean and shiny!! Very pretty!

Sassette does have cool hair.

Sassette, I got the hippie idea from your post.

Prior to this, I had never though of cg as a hippie/vegan/crunchy/granola thing. One can be I'm sure, but not everyone here fits that.

Some would say that I lied a little when I said that I wasn't a hippie though..

I also found it funny to see over there that some had run into cg'ers with dirty/oily/greasy hair Most here who've had that problem go to modified cg pretty quickly.

I just left a very long comment explaining how no poo works.

Yeah, I never really thought of it that way either. I'm about as non-hippie as one can get. I'm a total high-maintenance princess.

(And thank you for the nice compliment. :) )

Thanks! Hopefully, they'll understand. That annoys me when people think no-poo means that our hair reeks.

I am sooo not the low-maintenace hippie type they mention on that blog, on the contrary, I love hair products, make up, perfume, fashion, all that girly-stuff, etc!! I just happen to use all-natural products on my hair, because it makes it "look prettier"

teeheehee!!

Ahhhh--we've been stereotyped! :D

I know, the idea that just because we don't use normal shampoo, we must be dirty greasy hippies kinda bugged me too. But then I remembered how weird it sounded to me when I first heard it...
