I think your part looks great! If it's bugging you and it's falling forward, one easy fix is (and you can do this if your hair is thick as it obviously is) grab a portion towards the end of your fringe, tuck it just underneath the other curls of your crown so it's not visible, slide under and cinch it so it doesn't get in your face. I do this myself on windy days sometimes or if I part too dramatically to one side so that there's too much hair in my face.

I just decided to do a half updo stolen from waterlily716 couple rope braids turned into buns. Looks pretty cute I have been looking for some protective styles that aren't a boring ponytail! It gets hot here and my hair is HEAVY!

This is gorgeous! I can't wait until my hair is long enough for this!

Day 7:

Dewpoint: 5
Weather: 16oC, 45% Humidity

Low-Poo: Mixture of Aubrey Organics Blue Camomile Shampoo AND Conditioner, local honey, water, and some EOs
Detangle: KCKT
Condish: Desert Essences Coconut Conditioner
Style: Scrunch in KCCC in a supersoaker/scrunch-and-pump method. Clipped, and let air dry. Took out the clips when it was about 50% dry (needed to get out the door!). There was no crunch to scrunch out later!

Overall, I like the shape but this KCCC doesn't hold my curls very well. These pics were about 4 hours ago, and they've already fallen and become poofy. I think I may be over moisturized again, and will return to the protein-balancing conditioner to see what happens! Oh, and I got some wacky curls that stuck out of my head. See below:

I'm so glad this challenge is over -- taking pictures of myself every day was painful. HOWEVER, it's been a great opportunity to document my first week as CG!!!

Aw thank you! Curious to see what your curls will look like when your hair is longer!

I think this thread is amazing. I've said it repeatedly but it really made me realise how hard we are on ourselves. I think we all rock and shouldn't worry too much about what we consider bad hair days.

It's just that practising what I'm preaching here is pretty difficult because good hair days are the best :P

Seriously.

I've been CG almost 3 weeks and I still look like Roseanne Roseannadana. This makes me want to give up and wear my hair in a bun every day for the rest of my life.

I kid, I kid.

Day 7

I just misted with water and a bit of TYC, and scrunched a tiny bit watered down BRHG on my 3rd day hair. Lots of frizz so up it went into a messy bun for work! These pics were taken after my shift. Sorry for the goofy tired face!

I'm in and will even get the ball rolling...
Day 1 (yesterday). Co-washed with VO5 Vanilla Mint Tea, ROO as RO (rinsed about half out). CJ CCCC and copious amounts of Mop Top Light Hold Gel. Plopped, air dried. Yesterday's temps were around 70 with on and off rain, dews in the low 60s.

I'll post today's results once my hair dries. Probably around lunchtime.

I'm in too. I missed the first round. Day 1 was yesterday. I actually really liked how it turned out. Washed Sunday with sm shampoo, used gvp rinse out, used giovanni leave in, sm smoothie then tiny bit of souffle. all raked in upside down since i diffused. Scrunched in brhg into damp hair after scrunching with tshirt for additional hold. diffused till 75% dry, air dried a few hours and left mostly crunchy, slept in crunchy pineapple. The back always looks weird day one, but fixes itself by day 2. Also I could really tell I didn't use enough brhg I could feel my hair un-crunching a lot more than I really would have liked, way too early so good hair day but not perfect. 7/10

Day two today:
Right side held up so well for 2nd day hair I love how it looks. Unfortunately I didn't use enough brhg and I could feel it while I was drying it. Left side went really flat. ended up putting that side up with flower clip. I had planned for 3rd day but then i would look really lopsided lol so I guess I'm washing tonight.

I'm in! No pics from yesterday tho! So today will be my day 1.

Last night I cowashed with vo5 body boost, condish was suave coconut (was shocked how easily it detangled, must be not using the deva low poo!). I rinsed with cold water upside down, out of the shower I scrunched out some water, used beach wave spray and chi leave in spray, sealed by scrunching in a little grape seed oil. Then I added a pump of the morrocanoil curl mousse for each side of my hair, then I scrunched in the volumax mega hold gel, scrunched out water with the hand dry hair glove and plopped for about 10 minutes. I let it air dry until I was too tired and then pineappled (still damp) and went to sleep. This am I refreshed with some chi leave in spray (trying to avoid aloe to see if that is the culprit of my frizz). SOTC with JCNS. 7 Day Challenge - who's up for it?-imageuploadedbycurltalk1370961358.348726.jpg7 Day Challenge - who's up for it?-imageuploadedbycurltalk1370961642.691955.jpg

Ok I'll join this round and take for the weak twos. Day 1 wash JCGLS RO JCTS. Scrunched in HETT curl creme and BRHG. Diffused and clipped.

Meh.

I don't know if I can keep taking pics of myself for another week! Anyway, round 2- day 1; Cowashed with Loreal CC, CK Satin Roots LI with Jojoba oil to seal, homemade okra gel topped with Volumax mega gel (first time trying this gel). SOTC too early b/c I had a meeting but pretty happy with the results. This gel was surprisingly easy to SOTC, and didn't leave my hair "too soft" after scrunching like BRHG tends to.

Round 2 day 1: I am now experimenting with okra gel. Just re wetted this morning and used tresseme naturals for a RO, cantu Shea for leave in and a bunch of homemade okra gel. Plopped for about 10 minutes and clipped. I diffused for maybe 5 minutes. Didn't take very long to dry which is nice maybe 3 hours. Did a little SOTC and fluffed. Pretty happy with the results but I think I need less leave in with this stuff. 7 Day Challenge - who's up for it?-imageuploadedbycurltalk1370964782.937342.jpg

Week 2 day 1

Routine: cowash with VO5 vanilla tea mint, marshmallow detangling rinse, TNNM as RO (think it may be too heavy for this time of year as my curls are not as tight as usual). Then FSG and small dallop of BRHG. I plopped for 10 minutes and then diffused for 10 minutes. I may have been a bit impatient to SOTC as it was a bit damp.

Score: 7/10
