7 Day Challenge - who's up for it?

Day 3:
So much better today. Overcompensated and used slightly too much product yesterday but that's okay it's not too obvious. This time it should hold up a few days. Same routine as last wash day.
Dew point here is 70
Temp here right now is 89 but should get around 100 today.

Low Porosity, Fine
No poo-SM
Co wash-VO5 kiwi lime*
Rinse out- ION EC
Leave in - Giovanni Direct then SM smoothie (ends only)
Stylers-SM souffle topped with BRHG*

Hair hates: glycerin (high dews here in TX)
Hair likes: Coconut Oil*, protein

*=HG
Tried using kckt and kccc (first time) topped with brhg. This is second completely re-wet and rinsed out. VERY "meh". I'd probably like it if it were longer.

Woes of a wavy. (Eta: day2)

Round 2, Day 3 (part 1). Well it was bound to happen sooner or later. And it hasn't happened in a really long time, so I really can't complain. I'm having a truly bad hair day. Not average or blah, but bad. As in hair is already in a ponytail.
Co-washed with Eden Body Works Co-Wash, used ROO for RO (rinsed out completely). Combed in Darcy's Botanicals Curling Cream Gel and decided to give Volumax Mega Gel a second try. Plopped longer than normal because I started using a gradual tanning moisturizer. When I took my hair out of the plop, I seriously looked like Medusa. I had these wet noodle curls sticking out sideways from my head. So in a moment of panic, I grabbed my wide tooth comb. There was just no recovering from that point. This is the closest to straight that my hair has been in years. And it couldn't even just all stay straight- as I was driving to work I noticed small clumps in front spiraling up. I'm including a pre-ponytail pic for your entertainment and a close up of my random curl. 7 Day Challenge - who's up for it?-imageuploadedbycurltalk1371042454.929827.jpg7 Day Challenge - who's up for it?-imageuploadedbycurltalk1371042468.199048.jpg

I have to say that everyones hair look great to me. Even when we think its horrible. I guess we are our own worst critics.

Well I'm behind a couple of days. Only doing this for a week , not a fan of taking daily pics

First pic is my Day4ay1 hair
Cleansex with TJ TTT and used AOGPB as RO. Then applied okra gel, plopped diffused and pineappled over night. In am lightly dampened and smoothed pea size okra repair conditioner, diffused 5mins then SOTC.

2nd pic is Day5ay2 hair
Pineappled over night, lightly dampened hair, smoothed pea size sevi conditioner and more okra gel, diffused 5mins thdn SOTC

Wow never noticed how much of a difference there is in my hair. Not sure if I like it. Looks heavy on day 2 as opposed to soft and fluffy on day 1. Hmmm

Lol..I know. Thats how I came to purchase it. I actually got the idea from Kathymack. She uses such great products!!! Its shescentit okra "hair repair" reconstructor. Has good amount of protein in it. For some reason works better to apply it on my next day hair, then as a LI or RO. Werid. Probably bc of my low porosity.

Round 2 day2: happy hair day! I am giving it an 8 of 10 because of parts the pic doesn't show I think I added too much agave to my okra gel and its giving me a yucky feeling. Looks pretty great but feels a little yucky.

Washed this morning with SM shampoo and co washed with as I am (shampooing dries me out so I like to co wash too)
RO with garner triple nutrition
LI as I am leave in
Sealed with avacado oil
Styler. Still experimenting with okra gel. Better today with clean hair but still ick.

My hair loves protein, plopping, and diffusing! Trying to find a way to style and air dry.
I wet my hair, raked KCKT through, scrunched in KCCC and BRHG, plopped in a t-shirt for about 10 minutes, diffused until dry (usually I just diffuse a little and let air dry)...

I had a bunch of wonky curls, and I'm reeeeeaally not liking how my ends are all stringy. That happens to my ends pretty much every day. Do you think it's due to however the stylist cut the layers?

Round 2, day 2. Low poo'd with SM yucca, did a quick PT with Joico Kpak, KCKT as LI with no sealer; UFDCM topped with LAL mega gel for stylers. I air-dried today (rare) and it took forever! I prefer to diffuse, but didn't have the time.

I think I've discovered through this challenge, that I'm extremely happy with the change in my hair over the past 6 months- thanks entirely to this site!!!!! The point of this thread was to show that not every day is a good hair day. And although some of us had a "bad hair" day at some point, in general everyone's hair looks fabulous pretty much all the time!

Chloe - your pic from a couple days ago - maybe yesterday? Is what I am showing the stylist tomorrow. I decided to go to my same stylist for layers despite it not being a "curly" girl haircut. She has been good at giving me what I want.

Today I woke up too late to do the coconut oil treatment that I had planned. I washed with Texture My Way Hydrate Intensive Moisture Softening Shampoo, conditioned with darcy's pumpkin seed, and used it as a leave in. I didnt add any other product because the only thing I have at the moment is Curl Keeper and it has glycerin.. and i wanted to see how i did today without it. Humidity is 75%

I also scrunched water out the CG way but diffused/ dried my hair the way I used to when I was young and cute and had "great hair." Diffused and scrunched upside down to get the drying started then let it air dry the rest of the way. While it isnt amazing, it is better than yesterday. A cut tomorrow!! Fresh start and hopefully will have my analysis back very soon!! It's been 4 weeks.. so any day now. I am excited to get rid of the fried portions and try new products!

I made the switch from thick clumpy gels over a year ago, and that was when I still had the longer hair. Too much learning curve required right now

So here is my Day6: of Day1 hair.
Cowashed with AO GPB, used SSCT OHRR (not sure what the abbreviation for shescentit orka hair repair reconstructor) as LI then raked in CK Coil Jam, plopped then air dried, pineappled over night. Hair was still damp this morning, let it air dry til dry. I did no scrunching or diffusing.

Let me know what you honestly think please. May give this a go every now and then.
