Awkward Curly Hair

Hi, okay so im getting my hair cut tomorrow, but ive been growing it out. It may not look like it in these pictures but its past my shoulders and 3B.. Ok, so where im getting at here is that i am SO frustrated with my hair ive been doing the curly girl method for about a year now and my hair is honestly... kinda gross and rough it hasnt worked out one so ever. My hair is dry and krunchy and is shedding like a dog. Ive tried EVERYTHING and i am about ready to shave my head or just straighten my hair chemically! URGH But anyways, my hair is SUPER thick practically like a sheep and I was wondering what I should do with my hair? New Routine? Products? Anything?

Sorry you're having problems. Can you describe exactly what you dislike about your hair. Also, describe your routine. That would help people give you advice. I can't pull your images up to make them bigger, but your hair looks really pretty.
