Input on Too Shea, Kenra and Elucence - Please!!!!

I think it is time for me to try some new products. The first one I am looking for is a CG conditioner. I have been using Deva No Poo and One Condition for a while. I think they are leaving too much build up in my hair and my hair seems to get a little weighed down each day. I am not sure which of my products could be causing this but I thought I would first try out a new conditioner. I figure it canít hurt to see what else is out there and see if I can improve the appearance of my hair.

I reviewed the great conditioner chronicles by Laurabeth and I think the three I am considering are:
Jessicurl Too Shea
Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner
Elucence Moisture Balancing Conditioner

Can you please share your experiences with these three?
Do you love/hate any of them? If you tried and hated/loved any of them would love to know why!
Any of these your HG?
How do you use it? For example do you use it as a co-wash, rinse out, leave in? Is this the only product you use pre-styling products such as gel, etc?
If you use a different leave in which one?
If you use a different Co-Wash which one?

I appreciate all your input as I try to change things up a bit! Sorry for all the questions but sometimes it helps to know what else it is used with. Us Curlies do love our combos!

Choose your products based on ingredients, your hair properties and humidity/ dew points first and foremost, reviews and recommendations secondary. If you don't know out hair properties or dew points any recommendations are largely meaningless.

If you are getting build up go over the ingredients of all the products you are using and look for culprits - for example silicones, polyquats, butters, higher amounts of fatty alcohols - if you aren't sure post up the full ingredients lists, your hair properties and dew points here.

The Kenra is my HG. :) I use it as a leave in with a small blob of the Shea moisture smoothie on top. I've been using it for several years now, and it's still my fave. :)

I've tried the Elucence and liked it. I think I used it as a co wash. To me, it isn't as moisturizing as the Kenra. It smells very peachy. the Kenra smells more coconuty/limey. I think the Elucence was a pretty good co wash. I use the Trader Joe's Nourish Spa to co wash, and I love it. It has tons of slip and smells good...sort of orangey and fresh.

I guess I use the Kenra, because it feels nice and smells good and is really moisturizing and has a bit of protein.

I've never tried the Too Shea.

Hope this helps. :)

I'm on my second bottle of Elucence. I only use it as a rinse-out conditioner, never have as a leave-in or DT, though I think it says you can use it for both. Doesn't ever weigh me down and does seem to sort of self adjust as it says.

I like it as a RO because it has VG good slip, and my hair's very easy to comb thru afterward, in or out of the shower, even if I only worked it in and immediately rinsed it. Seems good and conditioning, though my hair isn't particularly dry - if yours is, I don't know how you'd feel about it.

It's fragrant, and in a good way, though it doesn't smell like peaches or any particular fruit to me. Some conditioners cause my hair to get a bit sour smelling if I go more than 2-3 days between washings (some CJ products, e.g.). With Elucence, I've gone 7-8 days, and it still smelled nice, though never strongly so, even right after washing it. In winter, I pretty routinely went a week each time with no problems.

Overall, I'd definitely recommend trying it. I like it a lot better than One Conditioner.

When I first joined this site I got some Elucence as it seemed very popular at the time and I have to say I loved it. I'd still use it now if it was available here, I just can't afford to get it shipped as I go through it too quickly.
I think I had a trial bottle of TooShea but don't really remember it. I know I never bought any more so I obviously wasn't impressed!

I've used all three as a rinse out. The first line of products I used (like most of us) was Deva. I thought I liked it, but then learned that my hair liked other things much better. Ordered a complete set of Jessicurl next, it made my hair limp and lifeless in a week--it went on the swap board. The Elucence just wasn't moisturizing enough for my hair. I do have the Kenra around and used it last week when I saw it--it's fine.

Personally, I don't think any of them are special.
Any of these your HG? No
How do you use it? For example do you use it as a co-wash, rinse out, leave in? Rinse out
Is this the only product you use pre-styling products such as gel, etc? Don't use as a styling product
If you use a different leave in which one? Too many to list
If you use a different Co-Wash which one? Don't really cowash
