Hey ladies -- I know there was a thread about conditioner-only styling somewhere around here! Anywho, I've had great success with Oyin Hair Dew (pricey ) and Trader Joe's Conditioner with Tea Tree (as long as I use some oil with it).

I know Tresemme Naturals Moisturizing gets a lot of love around here but I can't find it in stores. Any others I should look out for? Thanks!
|| 3b; normal porosity; fine/normal texture || CG since Feb 2010 || SD prone & Propylene Glycol Sensitive

Current Routine BAQ henna 1/month Leave-in OH Hair Dew Cheapie Conditioner Tresemme Naturals Moisturizing

I have been conditioner only styling lately and though I get some frizz and poof I am pretty ok with it. I use Suave Naturals Coconut. I think it has a bit of protein in it and not a ton of moisture which seems right for my low porosity, fine hair. Best of all it's SUPER cheap!
My Hair:
2c
Fine, low porosity, med/high density
BSL - going for mid back to waist

HG: currently
just washing with a low poo that contains protein (Alba Naturals Coconut) and using Suave Naturals Coconut as both a RO and LI. No stylers right now, but this gives me pretty good curl, definition, low-ish frizz, and it feels and looks good. Also an occasional PT (liking the Palmer's Coconut Oil Formula which has cones) seems to be key for me.

Modified CG since February 2013

I've found that the Giovanni Direct Leave-in works well for me as a conditioner-only styler. I've just started experimenting with Elucence Moisture Balancing condish, but so far so good as a styler as well as condish!
Medium/coarse, low porosity, dense, mix of 3s
CG (again) since Nov. 2012

Cleanse: SM Moisture Retention, Elucence MBC, KC Come Clean
Condish: Giovanni DL, Cure Care, Ion Treatment, GVP Balm, AOHR
Protein: AOGPB, CNPF, SSRPT
Stylers: KCCC, SM Souffle, AOMM, SS CEJ, JCRR, JCCC

Trying out steaming!
Is this the method where you emilsify the condish? I did it the other day with Spiral solutions Caitlin's Conditioner. It really didn't take much as the emulsifying stretches it. Came out pretty nice.
Yes I love tresemme naturals as a leave in, I also heard garnier fruitis sleek& shine is good leave in condish.

My HG is suave everlasting sunshine mixed with KCKT.
3A 3B mix
Very thick hair
Colored
Low porosity
Medium coarse texture

Lo-Poo- Yes to Cucumbers
Co-wash- Yes to Cucumbers, As I Am Co-wash
RO-Yes to blueberries, GVPCB, CJ curl assurance conditioner
DT- CJ curl rehab
LI- As I Am leave in, KCKT

Style- Sauve Everlasting Sunshine
Misc- CJ Smoothing lotion
I have been using the GF S&S Leave In conditioner only lately and really do like it. It has cones, but my hair likes sulfates, so no problem!
Lately I've been using SM C&H Curl & Style Milk... and i love it! It's giving me great 2nd day hair, much looser than wash day but happy none-the-less.

I've also used KCKT and Alba Botanica Leave-in for conditioner only styling... it depends on what you need.

KCKT is a very light moisturizer
Alba LI is very moisturizing... has glycerin but didn't bother me (listed after coconut oil)
SM C&H C&S milk has protein, anti-humectants

I tried the Giovanni DLI but it was like having nothing in my hair.
fine - normal porosity*?- medium density - normal elasticity. Hard water. SoCal.
*Used to be low-porosity, but I lightened my hair 1-2 shades, so I may be normal-porosity now.

New climate! Current favorites:
Low-poo: CJ Gentle Cleansing Shampoo, Giovanni SaS
RO: V05 Kiwi Lime
Styler: UFD CM (old formula), FSG + CNPF
PT: CJ Repair Me, IAgirl's gelatine

Experimenting with: JC Confident Coils, JC Rockin Ringlets, CJ CIAB, gelatin gel

iherb discount code: CFN646
Curious.... HOW do you conditioner only style? Is it just raking, scrunching, air drying, etc or is there a specific method?
2A/B. Mix of fine, medium, and coarse (mostly medium). Dense. Mix of normal and high porosity.
Dry climate.

once I am done rinsing out, I turn the water off and while my hair is still dripping wet I smooth/rake lightly a little more conditioner (maybe a pea size per side) into my hair and try to pull it out from the roots a bit. Then I carefully flip, blot with a t-shirt (not scrunch), plop, and then air dry.

I just scrunch and then air-dry. Sometimes I blot in a scrunched position in between.

I don't love the way it came out on the model but it might work much better for others.

Ir came out very good on me. Next time I would add a gel on top for definition. It felt SUPER soft and I thought it would never hold up all day but it did fine.
