Does anyone use this who has bangs? It makes my bangs all weird. It either squishes them down flat or if I try to keep them from going flat then they often get weird and stick up strange. I'm wondering if I should try to clip them where I want them or something.

Well, I still can't get it to dry faster than diffusing. I think maybe it's because I have an old Conair dryer and it's only 1600 watts, so not a lot of power. BUT I discovered something today. If you diffuse as usual, and then put the bonnet on for maybe 10 minutes, it really pumps up the volume. So you don't even have to use it that long to get the volume effect. It might even work with less time. I was worried that putting it on at the end might mess up the curls, but it didn't at all. So I think I might diffuse partway and then use the bonnet to finish.

@Pianogirl: I don't have bangs, but I guess I would try to clip them somehow!

Well I finally ordered it and so far tried it once.

I LOVE that it dries my hair and I can just be on the computer or whatever. I hate diffusing my hair. I have no patience nor time.

My hair was a tad strange but I think it's just how it naturally falls on my head. I wish I had clips, I think clipping and then putting this on and drying with the clips in would give really good results.

I will have to experiment more and update.

You people are going to end up making me buy something else?! Lol so I gather the most important features are a chin strap and a drawstring? Other than that, is there any reason I should purchase one over another for Bsl hair, is one better than another for longish hair? Since the OP's hair is hip length it's making me lean toward the curl formers one.

The bonnet dryer has been my saving grace this winter! I usually diffuse for about 10 minutes then clip my roots before I pop this baby on. With sub zero temps I don't even consider leaving the house with wet hair. I leave it on the top of my head for about 5-7 minutes and my length for a little less and good to go.

That's awesome!

How did it do with clumpage? Did it break up the clumps?

You can get a lot of hair that does this so you divide the hair into small sections as it looks better.
Definitely gonna check this out! This forum is making me such a product junkie lol
Whoa, that looks crazy. I'd love to give it a try.
YOU GUYS. I ordered it.

I just ordered one! I'm so STOKED

Btw its cheaper on the Curlformers website. $15.95 and shipping is FREE on orders over $7 in the US.
I've just started the CG method after falling off the wagon for a while. I'm going to order one of the cheaper ones off eBay (probably this one) and then I'll report back!
2a-2b, high porosity, high density, fine texture, medium length

Tried CG off and on but really want to make it work this time... as long as I can find a way to beat these high dews
Hiya!

I have this shipping on the way now! I was wondering whether the type of hairdryer might add or subtract drying time? I have an ionic hairdryer which is meant to be more efficient drying wise.

Also for those who posted at the start of the discussion a year ago, is the product still going strong?

I'm also considering getting one. My main question is, does it help with cutting down on frizz?

I had wanted to buy a hard hat dryer but I don't a place in my apt. where I can set it up for the proper height and also don't have much storage space.

Please chime in if you have one!

I may just have to try this too. I don't always have the time to air dry (and my hair takes longer to dry now that it's covered in stuff after showering and not straight). My hair dryer is great but frizz is still an issue. Anyone know if Sally's still carries it?

I think it helped with frizz. I am no longer using mine because I figured out how to dry overnight, so if anyone is looking for one, shoot me a PM (I actually have two, both in nearly new condition).

Sure, but there's not much technique to it. I think it's one of those things that either works, or doesn't. I wash, add leave in, scrunch in gel, plop for 10 minutes, scrunch in a little more gel, put a silk sleep cap on, and sleep on it. In the morning it's dry and I have great curls. The sleep cap seems to lift the curls up so I get volume, but keeps them from frizzing. My hair is just above shoulder length. I don't think it would work as well for longer hair.

That's impressive. My hair wouldn't dry that easily even at shorter lengths, and if this works for anyone with longer hair I'd be very jealous.
