Sweet almond oil

I bought some sweet almond oil a friend recommended. I applied it heavy then reapplied it before going to bed to the ends I left it on over night and washed it out with V05 conditioner the next morning. Omg talk about soft silky shiney hair I was really impressed with this deep treatment. The ends of my hair had been getting really dry no matter how much moisture I put on them. I have tried other oil before but never got results like this before. Just thought I would share my experience with you
I love sweet almond oil! I mix some with my DT sometimes and I love pouring it in my bath because it leaves my skin super soft.

It's not about having what you want, it's about Wanting what you have
is there any other way to use Almond Oil besides as a DT? I don't think I could do the whole head of hair because I have tons of hair and it'd take forever to get it all soaking in oil. Can it be added to conditioner and then rinsed out? I never dared using oils because I'm afraid I might not be able to rinse it out and be left with a dirty mop for hair. Oh, and another thing, do you have to put it on on wet or dry hair? I really want to try it! I tried honey, and although it worked the first few times, then it started leaving my hair britle and tangly, so I had to stop using it. :x

Or, you could try a couple of drops to smooth dry hair.
SuZen, I think I'm going to give it a try. I'm a little bit shy on trying new things on my hair because I feel my hair is me, and if it got ruined I don't know what I'd do! I do love Lemon Aid and ACV rinse, they work great on my hair. Didn't have much luck with honey, but I want to give the almond oil a go. Thanks for your reply!

It's a bit too much for my hair now but when it was drier I used to add sweet almond oil to my conditioner or DT. One thing I still do is put a few drops on the ends of dry hair then braid it to get it out of the way (and keep it from spreading up). Then I'd leave it for an hour/afternoon/overnight/whatever. Works well as a pre-wash DT for just the ends.
My hair is much thinner and better conditioned so I usually use jojoba for this now though. I do think SAoil makes it silkier but it's just a little heavy. I should try diluting the SA w/ the jojoba.

Does anyone know if sweet almond oil is different than the almond oil you can buy at the grocery store? I have the grocery store stuff. Thanks!

It's the same. I usually get it at the health food store.
