Default cowashing after pool

Would yall recommend cowashing after getting in the pool? i have to get in pretty regularly during the summer because it's my job and every time i shampoo with kinky curly come clean it gets more tangled. it is absolutely heinous to detangle!

so what would yall consider??

you can soak your hair in olive oil (or at the very least soak it in water) before jumping in the pool, it can help to shield your hair from the chlorine. or get a swimming cap!

I've never tried the kc come clean but I hear it's on the drying side. Have you tried something like SheaMoisture?

You can cowash after the pool, but you may need to clarify with something like Ion Swimmers every once in a while.

I think the most helpful is trying to protect your hair from the chlorine as much as possible rather than trying to get the chlorine out afterward.

You need to chelate the chlorine out, conditioner won't cut it. Try a different shampoo if Kinky Curly is too harsh or a swimmers product in sachet form.

Agree with WavyDaze the most important thing is to protect your hair in the first place. Wear a cap, use coconut oil. prewet your hair. Don't go in a pool with oil or conditioner but no cap, you will contaminate the pool and feed bacteria.
