Cleanse: SM Moisture Retention or Suave Naturals shampoos
Co-Wash: Suave Naturals, L'Oreal EverCreme or EverCurl

Leave-In: SM Curl Enhancing Smoothie, TN, GVPCB
Styler: EcoStyler, GF Pure Clean gel, KCCC

Just discovering my hair likes protein!

I've been using Ecostyler again, after KCCC and under a hard hold gel. I am really liking the Ecostyler this time around, and while it feels heavy upon application, when my hair dries, it is so soft and light.

I love Eco styler! I use it all year round (different holds depending on the dew point).

I have not found a gel thicker than this so it's become a staple by default. I still try test out others though just to experiment.

As far as creams go, I don't really use heavy creams as leave-ins because my hair takes awhile to absorb them. But I do like light leave-ins with oils or a just a few butters in them (Camille Rose), and also thick deep conditioners (like CJ Curl Rehab).

I love EcoStyler too! Its just that i wanted to try something different...but everything seems to be all about "lightweight"....some days i don't mind light weight...if i want HUGE curly hair...but my hair looks better (to me) when its weighed down.

I have been using EcoStyler on top of SM curl Enhancing smoothie sealed with an oil and its working great...but i just wanted to know if anybody knew of other options...like a cream or something. The closest to EcoStyler i have ever gotten with a cream was Miss Jessie's Curly Pudding or the Curly Meringue...i just wish it didn't cost so much!!

Hmm, what about Komaza Califia Pudding? I like that one too.

I've been meaning to try Camille Rose Almond Jai Twisting Butter underneath Fantasia IC gel but haven't gotten around to it yet. That might fare well since Fantasia is lighter but not by much. I've learned that if you want a lighter gel to "work" and smooth everything out the way Eco does, trying it on top of a heavier leave-in is the way to go. Or try making an Eco Styler "pudding/custard". I've seen a few YT vids with recipes, but I think Elle (denimpixie) made one and her hair looked pretty good in the video she was talking about it in. I think it was the "drugstore gels" video or something like that.

Eco styler doesn't work for me, but I love Shea Moisture curl enhancing smoothie Eco styler gives great curl definition though, especially to tighter curls and coils

I don't think i could ever do gel alone. My hair has a tendency to dread up on itself already...so i imagine if i put gel in by itself and let it dry..........that's a disaster.

Its not that i don't like the products im using....i just like options sometimes. I think think in the Fall i'll pick up some MJ Curly Pudding or Curly Meringue.

I've never tried Komaza products. Its been a while since I've ordered anything online. Its so flipping annoying that the majority of the natural hair brands are only available online with ridiculous shipping charges. Ugh!
