Being super lazy about my hair. Simply treating it as if it's a normal thing and not this flat ironed delicate artifact I have to cater my life around.

There are a few things that I love about being natural...

1.) I don't have to hide inside all day when it rains.
2.) My hair doesn't smell burnt anymore from the flat iron.
3.) I no longer have to deal with the annoying transitioning period from relaxed to natural hair.
4.) Lastly, I'm finally embracing the hair I was born with!

I think I enjoy the feeling of being free. Not having to worry like people with relaxed hair do. I can actually swim and get my hair wet. I can straighten and wear it curly if I want too. But what I enjoy most is the fact that my journey inspires other people. I have a lot of ladies come up to me and ask what I use and if I can help them with going natural. I get men too that really look up to me and other women that are making the move to go natural. I guess just the fact that I can inspire people or even one person that was about to give up until they saw my hair. That puts a huge kool aid smile on my face

Being able to embrass my God given curls. Wetting it whenever I want. No more chemically burning smell. No more scabs from perms.

I enjoy:
Not feeling fake since this is what I was born with- there is nothing to hide.
Like others have mentioned, walking in the rain with no worry.
Like others mentioned again, no flat iron burn smell- oh my gosh that was gross, it smelt like someone died in my bathroom, plus my feet and arms killed from constantly going up and down with the straightener lol.
Trying different products.
Knowing being natural is nothing but good for my hair, health wise.
Lastly, not conforming to a specific standard, that I felt I had to mold myself into for most of my life.

Doesn't it feel great to inspire? My perm never inspired anybody!!

I get so many complements on my hair now. I never got that relaxed. My relaxer always looked fake. This is real.

I love the curls. They're so pretty and cute. And I know my hair will look different and awesome as it grows longer.

This hair is a very real connection to my roots. All that came before me made what I am now. Face, body, hair - the whole thing. Is a tribute to the past, present, and (hopefully) the future. Who knew your hair said so much!!!

There are so many reasons to love natural hair!!

Feeling unique, getting compliments, loving my natural hair, not having to use heat, plopping lol, helping others on my YouTube channel, seeing my curls transform and grow, trying new products, and learning different ways to style it. 💕

There are so many things I love about my hair since I quit doing mean things to it! (I gave up blow drying, flat irons, heat curlers, relaxer, and dye.)
It's growing so fast! I had hip length hair when I was little, and at the pace it is growing now i should be that length again in about a year and a half.
People ask me all the time how I got my "movie star" curls. I have even been asked if it is a wig.
Doing my hair in the morning literally takes about a minute. I take it out of my hot buns thing, and my curls are under control, no styling needed. Maybe some mousse for windy or humid days. It used to take at least an hour, with the flat iron, and trying to gel down all the burnt hairs that stood up. (That burnt hair smell was HORRID!)
I started straightening and relaxing my hair because I just didn't know how to control it. Now, I'll never try to change it again!

Default not having to worry about the weather so much

My curls just get curlier and I don't have to shuffle my life around the weather (most of the time anyway!)

What I like is:

I feel more "authenic" when I rock my curls.
I feel empowered
The many compliments
not worrying about exercising and messing up my hair
not worrying about my hair getting wet
the confidence I have
