Y'all are making me ! Thank you for the kind words.

So far I really like it. This is day 3 and I just spritzed and scrunched again. We have a hike with DS's scouts tomorrow, so I'll wait until afterwards to wash and style again. I'll let you know how it goes.

(I haven't put up a recommendation on the Salon listing yet since I haven't had the chance to play with it, etc.)

It really does look fantastic. I agree with the others who said the cut makes your hair look longer.

I love Teresa. She cut my hair in NYC in the devasalon when I was a hair model and she happened to be my friend's stylist who lives in SF. It was a funny coincidence. I think I got the best cut from her, better than my regular ones at devachan. She is verynice and real too. Lucky you have her and I like your cut and hair. It is similar to mine.

It probably would help. Couldn't hurt! I think she brought out (back?) more curl by cutting on the curl and blending the layers. I do notice that it seems like she thinned a little. Well, maybe not thinning, but the cuts are not blunt but they are tapered, meaning the ends of the curls are tapered and thinner than the tops. Make sense? LIke point cutting, but a little more drastic than I've had in the past.

I'll probably be washing later today (after the hiking), but then I might color tomorrow so I'll have to wait to see how it works when I style myself. But I will update and try to take more pics if it looks different.

PS - I added a few *old* pictures to my hair album. I had showed her some and she liked how the sides were straighter down and not puffy. Like the 1992 pic (without the 80s poof). I think part of the key is that, although I have multiple layers, the front sides are not layered at the bottom layer, there is more length there to keep it down.

The best part of this new cut? Teresa said I probably won't need another cut for 3-6 months! Woohoo! I've always had to trim more often to keep the layers looking good, but the new way they are layered will grow out more evenly and nicely.

Wow!!! Gorgeous curls! I particularly like the shot of the back of your hair. I really struggle to get this part looking how I want it. Yours looks beautiful, glossy and natural, not producty or fake.

Thanks, it took a week or so to get the hang of it, but now it's better. At first, I wondered if I'd made a mistake since I couldn't get it to look right; now that it's over the haircut shock it is behaving nicely!

I'll be going back to her when I need a cut in 3-5 months. I'm trying to talk my 2b sister into going to see her.
