Default Getting volume with bobby pins?

Is this possible? I only have bobby pins, but I would love some root volume! Is there any way I can clip my hair with bobby pins?

Before I got duck clips I used to use bobby pins for root volume. I also think it's a great way for even when you are out. You can hide bobby pins very easily unlike duck clips. One time, I bobby pinned my bangs to the side of my hair while in the drying process and it made my hair very volumized. I think the best way to use bobby pins is by making sure you get as close to the root as possible. Try different methods and see what works for you.

I bobby pin my grown out bangs into a 'quiff' when drying to get volume, so yes you can. Just make loops of hair and pin at the point of a natural indent. You can also throw all your hair over to one side, pin then throw over to the other side and pin when partially dry.

Interesting thread ladies!

I was wondering if there was a clipping method that was work-presentable.

These are good ideas! I've had problems with the top of my head being too flat and I'm eager to try bobby pins after reading this thread.

Maybe trying to clip the hair under your canopy up for volume and then laying the canopy on top? I think that will work.
