Curly hair + Round Face

So i notice like whenever i take pictures with my friends my face seems chubbier...they told me because i have a round face..so i searched on youtube on tips for round faces to make my face looks slimmer most of them is against curly hair because they said ur curly gair makes your face rounder -_- they also suggested to get a relaxer :/ .... What haircuts are best for people with curly hair plus round face??? Im really having a real hard time styling my hair :/

Curly bangs or front-sweep

How about try short haircut with bangs. Side bangs, wavy bangs can be face-framing. If you want a long curly hairstyle, how about ponytail it and sweep in the front to display a side long bangs?

[disclaimer]This is just my opinion, based on personal aesthetic taste[/ disclaimer]

I think volume or height on top of the head (including the crown area), along with volume on the sides (but not to exceed the length volume of the crown by much) actually fits round faces really well.

Example #1

Example #2

Example #3

Also, a hairstyle that isn't too "round" looking. Here's a look that I imagine would NOT easily work w/a round face (Eisenberg, below, has an oval shaped face though):

The east-west look isn't hot either w/a round face IMO. ... Although, to be fair, this woman has some other pics floating around out there showing her w/hairstyles that do suit her round/squarish face much better.

But of course there are so many exceptions, always. You may find that a certain look "shouldn't" look right on you, but ends up looking just great. Play around with some ideas. Straightening it may just leave you with a flatter look that you feel only emphasizes the roundness.

Maybe curly will make your face look "chubby". Which sounds cute.

But flat relaxed hair makes a chubby face look like a fat a$$ head.

I'm just saying.

Never ask "status quo" people their opinion on anything. Because the thoughts will just be.. Well.. Status quo.

LoL! Did I get too deep for hair?

Anyway, don't let anyone talk you out of your natural state. It IS for you. Looks perfect on ya. It's just a matter of finding the style that suits you. What do you think looks cute on you. And go with that. :)

i also have a round face. the side-swept bangs work great. however as the dew points go up they really want to curl, so it doesn't seem to work for me in the summer. side-swept bangs are great, perfect for my face when the dew points cooperate.

I sure feel like I am all round cheeks with straight hair. (Other propel say not but insure think so). I think it's kind of amazing how most people's natural wave or curl seem to fit their face shape automatically.

I have a heart shape face and it's sort of true. Super sleek hair can make my cheeks look chubbier, but curly hair a babying effect as well. I've just learned to live with the fact that I'll be "cute" for the rest of my life.

Omg, I thought I was the only one who felt that way! Sometimes, I do feel like a tab bit 'baby-ish' with my hair. This is in terms of looking 'cute' I suppose.

As a side note, I do like the examples of what Korkscrew gave you. I think a lot of volume on top will help. Experiment and try :)

Frame your face with your hair if it still seems too round contour your face with make up

Wait until you get to my age. Bit I'm like "screw it". I'm doing what my hair wants "age appropriate" be damned.

When I get older, I think it will be good to look 'baby-ish' then because I will look younger! lol But yes, do what your hair wants! Curly power! lol
