What helps tame 2nd day frizz?

I wash my hair every-other day. On shampoo days my hair never frizzes. On the morning of day 2 I walk outside for exercise (in a high humidity/high dew point climate) and my hair frizzes like crazy.

I don't want to totally re-wet my hair on day 2. What are some products that will help tame 2nd day frizz on dry hair?

I use the coconut hairoil by The Bodyshop... I don't know if it really helps but it gives me the impression it does...

Any other people have experiences with using oils on dry hair to tame frizz?

More conditioner and styling product on day one, what your overnight routine is, prevention is easier than treatment. Do you have porous hair and/ or are you using humectants (glycerin, propylene glycol, honey, aloe vera etc)?

I pineapple my hair at night. My hair is not porous. I use Kinky- Curly Knot Today as my leave-in in the summer.

Do you use a silk or satin pillowcase?

Kinky Curly Knot Today is a detangler not a true conditioner - it does not contain much in the way of emollients (fatty alcohols and cationic surfactants), no oils and is pH 7 so won't necessarily encourage the cuticle to lay flat after shampooing.

Thanks for trying to help me! Yes, I use a silk pillowcase.

What are some other leave-in conditioners I could try that would be more emollient? (Preferably something I can buy at the drugstore, Sally's or Target.) My hair is 3A.

CJ's Pattern Pusha works quite well for me at taming frizz (I think it was rbb who discovered it works pretty well on dry hair) or a little bit of aloe vera rubbed between wet hands and smoothed over my hair. Neither of these do anything for me in wet hair.

I also use aloe vera gel on second day frizz and it works well :)

I've also found it helpful at times to apply a mixture of aloe vera gel with drops of jojoba oil to finger dampened hair at bedtime, in order to prevent wonky 2nd day hair. When I have thought to do that, I also find that my hair is also better on subsequent days.
