Here I go again...

Hi, JLeighs, you are in Wisconsin? the land of political tyranny.

Ok, moving on: yes, I am beginning to think less is more in the summer, for sure; it seems the more I slap on my hair, the more reactive it can become. I used to use Henna, and yes, it does coat the hair and smooth the cuticle to a degree (I loved henna; cant use it now, too much silver). I always remove moisture - blot - before putting on product. I tried applying it once in the shower and it didnt do anything. Again, I think this is the absorbing factor. Low porosity hair does not absorb. I appreciate your input.
Myrna, if I read correctly you left some conditioner in today. I will be anxious to see how that works for you. I don't know how different the cucumber and carrot conditioners are. Maybe they are not that different to bother with a switch. Maybe someone else knows. I don't use much of a styler. All I really use is the smoothie because I need a little help with curl enhancement. I don't use gels, mousse etc. I have thought about it but I don't really like anything I try and seem to do OK without it. I would suggest again Shea Moisture Hold & Shine Moisture Mist. It has a lot of oils that I think seem to help with frizz. Because it's a spray it is easy to control how much you apply. It never ever feel like it weighs my hair down. If anything in this weather I find myself going pretty heavy with it.
2C, low porosity, high density, coarse, shoulder length No sulfates, no parabens, no silicones

Styler- Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie, Shea Moisture Shine & Hold Mist, Yes to Carrots Leave In and Yes To Carrots Anti-Frizz Serum
PG, it is a better hair day, and I did leave in conditioner, and used less product, as I indicated in another thread. Are you referring to the Coconut Hibiscus Shine Spray? cause I have that one but have not used it much.
pianogirl likes this.
Myrna, nothing new to suggest but you are sure to find what works for you because you are trying so hard! Good luck - I know how frustrating it can be.
2/c and some 3A. Modified CG.
Protein sensitive
Highly porous. Color over grey.
Best 1st day method: Super Soaker
Conditioners: Curl Junkie Beauticurls Strengthening Conditioner,
Deep condish: Curl Junkie Curl Rehab
Stylers: Mix Curls in a Bottle into everything for shine. Terrible pj
Sometimes try roller sets - classic glamor but I prefer my curls.
Every day is a gift
Yes! That's the one. Give it a shot. Even if you don't like it I don't think you will regret it or that it will lead to a bad hair day. It is pretty light. I use it when my hair is still wet or damp but has air dried for a while. I do it last thing before I leave or after I get to work. I also use it sometimes as a refresher through out the day. I keep a bottle at home and one in my purse.
