Tightly Curly Method on Heat Damage?

Hey curlies! Has anyone tried the TC method? I just tried it and it yield GREAT results for me but I'm having trouble with defining. A friend sent me a video of a beauty guru on YouTube (SunKissAlba) and she was finger coiling her hair. And it just wont work my heat damage. Does anyone have heat damage and still can define their curls? Also about the denman brush. It's great but again this darn heat damage. Teri Laflesh (creator of TC method) likes this brush so since I had a great experience I buy the brush. it was good on my non heat damaged hair but it makes everything else melt together (yet another reason I can define well). Ugh. Help?

What do you mean by "melt together"? Like one huge clump? I find I do a better at defining and clumping individual bits with finger combing if you can believe it. I've heard of this method too. It's like conditioner only styling on steroids. It's okay. Finger coiling doesn't work for A LOT of people. . . what else have you tried to help define the hair? And what conditioner are you using now for styling?

I tried the TC method, but I used V05 which was a bad idea since my hair got weighed down and felt greasy. I might try it again with my Giovanni since so far that has yielded better results and I like the ingredients better.
High Porosity, Fine, Thin Density, Low Elasticity
Natures Gate hemp for co-washing, detangling, and leave in + CO.

What happens if you detangle in the shower with your hair full of conditioner and then rinse. Do you have definition? By that I mean does your hair separate when wet into clumpy ringlets/sections? Because if so you could scrunch squeeze leave in conditioner in soaking wet hair afterwards and it should retain its shape. Do the clumps fall apart into frizz even when wet or after. . .?
