Default PERFECT HAIR! Thanks to this forum.

Real quick because I have to jet but I love you guys. I can't help it. Last week when my hair was acting up, everyone's suggestions of a strong gelatin PT since it was summer put my hair to rights. Kathymack's suggestion of the Yes to conditioners turned out great because just as Tresemme Naturals was getting reformulated to a product less than suitable for my hair and lifestyle, I found Yes to Blueberries. Chatting with Myrna convinced me to give Curl Keeper another shot and chatting with lcl706 reminded me how well KCKT also works for frizz and clumps. The result? Perfect hair. For four days straight. Ever since going CG I love my hair, even if it's mussed or big or disheveled. But today was the first day I woke up and I swear, I didn't even have to refresh with a bit of conditioner. Nada. It's perfect. Every ringlet in place. I think in talking to you guys I found a summer HG combination. (I also have to throw in props to waterlily716 because this is basically her main combo too: KCKT + a small puddle of CK followed by gel.) And my hair has never ever looked so awesome! Not a hair is out of order. What a way to start the day.

Do tell about the Yes to Blueberries! I'm looking for something that has some protein in it, which I guess is what the amino acids are. What do you like about it? Do you use it as a RO or LI (or both)? Thanks for any info!

The Yes to Blueberries was very heavy for me. It comes out lotion-ey, but it's still quite heavy. I'm low porosity though, upside is for all the protein it isn't drying at all. The scent is terrible.

Oddly enough, even though I have fine hair, I can use heavy conditioners. I guess that's because I have normal porosity. What's the smell like? I've heard floral-clove?

I don't know. . . To me it doesn't feel too heavy or lotiony. (Then I have hair porosity and jessiebanana doesn't.) It's plenty slippery. The amino acids seem to be working for me since it leaves my hair delightfully soft. The fragrance is light and doesn't linger. It's sort of more sweet than floral, but I can smell the clove. Most smells don't bother me, however. I'm not terribly picky. I just like to smell girly, if I can. It mixes well with the rest of my conditioner arsenal. I've only used it as a rinseout thus far but tomorrow when I wash my hair I'll try it as a leave in and report back.

I keep forgetting to check porosity. It makes sense that it could be too heavy for low porosity.

I'm not too picky about scents, either, as long as they're not too artificial/chemically.
